I would make sure I had extra pink pillow cases specially for when he comes ... I would even embroider his name on them ;)

I am having a complete nappy meltdown!

I have nappies spread all over my floor and I just cannot sort them out into the right sizes! ... have a complete mental block over how many I use in which tier, but I know I use 4 on the top ... however my bottom and middle tier look so small to what I usually do and I am about ready to bin the lot :rotfl: I never realised how annoyed I could get at trying to make a nappy cake, even more so when I have made hundreds of the things!

I know how you feel Rusty! I had the same thing last week. Had to do one for work the next day and do you think I could find the pink ribbon anywhere! we turned the house upside down! I was feeling under the weather and very tired and just sat there sobbing after about 20 mins! How pathetic! Found a couple of bits of pink ribbon which I used for top and middle tier then put cream on the bottom and used a blanket with a design on so covered most the ribbon! Had to cut up a pull bow to get a wee bit more pink ribbon in the end! Had plenty of them!

Becs I know how you feel, I have sat and completely given up over them more than once, I had 6 orders in 2 days and trying to juggle them and the 2 kids was unreal! I just sat and cried!

I think I have it sussed, ... although it may well be changed again at this rate!

I have a perfect shaped 3 tier cake ... however to get that perfect shaped cake I have used 59 nappies (size 3) I know that a few of the nappies will be replaced with the vest and the sleepsuit as I am thinking about leaving them off the front of the cake ...

I know most of you use size 2 nappies and I know there is quite a big difference in size between the size 2 and size 3 nappy. Becs and Shelley do you use size 2 nappies? if so how many do you use for your top layer of your 3 tier?

    I have
    3 Tier - 59 nappies
    2 Tier - 25 nappies
    1 tier - 18 nappies

This is without any clothes added so as I said before I can remove some for the clothes. I remember doing my lovely pink cake and using just under 50 but these were size 1 nappies and it was a perfect cake ... so now I am thinking I am using too big a nappy :(

Do you know I couldn't tell you off the top of my head but luckily I got one made up ready to go tomorrow so just had a quick count and there are 7 pampers size 2 on the top tier.
I've been a bit stressed with it all this week and i'm worn out now - the orders have been non stop. I'm not moaning but it is tiring trying to get them all done.
