Seriously I have seen this on a wall in a boutique in Cardiff and it was stunning!!! Hard to believe from the link above I know but even Hubs commented on how nice it was !!!

I know i go on and on about people copying some of my ideas but i just got to do it again lol hope you don't mind. I have been doing a craft fair near me now for over 3 years and as i have said before they now let another nappy cake maker in i don't mind that at all as her stuff is not like mine (or wasn't) but now her stuff is getting more and more like mine she is now even doing wash cloth cakes and now i see by her ebay now she as not gone and brought some strawberry soaps which i ( I know i might be jumping the gun here)think is to do more stuff like mine. Thing i would like to ask am i just getting upset for nothing or would this be getting to you as well if next time i go there and she does have more bits on her stall like mine is it time i said something to put a stop to it or should i turn the other cheek what would you do oh and she is undercutting me as well

I didn't want to read and run.

I'd feel a bit peeved like you do, but I'd also feel great knowing that she is copying me - meaning that your products are soooo good that someone has to copy them as they don't have the creative bug themselves.

Not sure how you should react though. Could you put a poster up on your stall saying 'The orignal "input your area" nappy cakes', then others would know you created and designed your products first.
I know I'd prefer to buy from the person with the original idea than someone who had copied.

Or you could tell her you are planning on making something that looks daft and ridiculous, then don't make it and see if she makes one for her stall. She should then get the idea that she shouldn't be copying so much.

Julie I totally empathise with you but other than approach her and ask to stop there is very little you can do. It is so annoying when someone copies your exact idea. Nappy Cakes will always have a personal variation but the lollipops and sock jam are exclusive to you so I do sympathise with you. Without repeating myself from an earlier post I was accused of copying by a person who has an online company because we used the same ribbon on a cake. Everything else was different but it obviously p****d her off cos she sent me a snotty email !!!! and the fact I had bought a cake off her previously and after seeing what was in it for £65 decided I would try and do it cheaper to appeal to my circle of friends.

I think I would get mightly annoyed ... but on the same note feel quite chuffed that she has copied my ideas ... just make sure hers are not as good as yours which I am sure they are not.
