I also use 33 nappies, mine are generally a mixture of huggies and pampers, but mostly huggies. I also use size 3 as the baby has a chance to grow into them and also the clothes I use in all of mine are 3-6 months as everyone buys clothes for newborn and 0-3 months. Others on here will argue that size 2 is better but there is very little difference between the 2 and everyone I have sold the nappy cakes to appreciate it in a bigger size. I have also had requests for bigger clothes and bigger nappies which have worked just as well.Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -

I ordered from them last night, they were really reasonable, and the p&p wasn't astronomical like some companies I looked at.
I am blimmin impatient to make one of these, but the first baby isn't due till November, so I have to content myself just buying the supplies just now.:DCross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. I bought my dotty cellophane from a local shop and it was only £4.99 for about 30 metres which was a bargain. I always use the rubber bands from woolies ( as mentioned in earlier post ) as they are so cheap and loads in a bag.
Well I spent a small fortune today - bought a marquee for the stall and ended up going to Sainsburys and found all the rattles and wrist rattles reduced from £2.99 to 74p so I bought the lot. At this rate I would need to sell 50 cakes to get my money back :rotfl:
Never mind I just love making them xLittle Miss Chatterbox

Thought I would post a few more pics of Nappy Cakes I made today. I've made up a good variety for the fete saturday ranging from cupcakes, 2 tiers and 3 tiers.
I've made up one with a black sheep that I know is not typically babyish but the sheep connections (I live in Wales) always appeal to the welsh. I bought six of these Nici sheep new with tags from Ebay for £2 for the 6. I couldn't believe they still had price tags from Clinton on @ £7.99 each !!!! I realise they are not to everybodys taste but I thought I would give them a go.
Just noticed that some of these pics look wonky - I put the photo tent on the bed to take pics DOH !!!!

Hi Shelly3774 and others,
I'm not sure if this website would be of any use to you www.flowerexperts.com I joined when I started doing a floristry course and they sell to anyone. A roll of 30yd cellophane is £2.17 (that is plain),pullbows for £4.70 for a box of 30 and all the usual ribbons etc. Delivery is £7.50 so only worthwhile if you're going to order lots of bits or you can split with someone else. They also sell flowers so if you know anyone keen on buying flowers they could always split the delivery cost with you.
