Hi Guys,
Thanks RF, Shelley and Moonpenny I wasn't expecting anything of yesterday to be honest but am hopeful of at least 1 decent sale tomorrow. Fingers Crossed. Have spent all evening with DH doing a website and it is finally up and working just in time for tomorrow-oops today as it is now tuesday! It will mean we can take the laptop and dh has a mobile internet thing so can load up the website and can let people pay by card online if they ask if I can take a card payment!
Moonpenny at the moment I'm just putting down material costs as that is enough to leave me on a minus figure! I have heard of others costing in electricity etc for making up at home for lighting and heating! Technically I guess you could but I'm only doing it to prove to the Taxman I'm not making loads of money on it!
Right off to bed. Will let you all know how it goes, Going to see if I can keep a proper count of the amount of leaflets I give out as well.
Love the cake too by the way RF.
Candy hope your computer situation improves soon!

Hi all love all the new cakes they look amazing. Just a quickie I know some of you have used the teddies in Tesco before (the ones that cost £4) well in my local Tesco at the moment they are reduced to £3 not a huge saving I know but might help some of you. HTH someone.

Hi everyone, thanks for all the good luck messages they certainly paid off! Wow what a day! I have never seen spending like it! My 3 tier cakes were £55 and one woman came up and took a blue and a pink because she didn't know what the baby was yet! My single tiers were £25 and another woman bought one and handed me a £50 note and then grabbed a xmas single tier and said "I'll take that to save you giving me teh change!" Credit crunch, what credit crunch!
Had an absoloutely fantastic day, gave out about 40 brochures, managed to take 2 credit card payments thanks to DH getting the site up and running last night and taking the laptop with mobile broadband with us, and sold 8 cakes and a box of cupcakes. Only brought 4 cakes home. Took just over £300 so I am extremely pleased. I have enough stock left to take another £500 in order value so hope I get some more orders from the website. ALot of women took my brochure because they said baby was due in a few weeks so they'd order then. Still can't believe it! All I can say if anyone else hears of these kind of days then go fo it, they are poles apart from the usual craft fayres when typical customer wants everything for nothing because it's a craft fayre and not a shop!
