You could even put a vest inside a babys bottle to make it look like milk in there

Oooh thats a good idea, I remember seeing someone selling them on ebay, although now I think it might have been your daughter :rotfl:If it was would you mind if I copied the idea just for this one cake? I don't normally put bottles and things in my cakes it is just generally clothes :o

  • I did notice there are loads of the baby washcloth lollipops and also the ones that are like cupcakes, I guess that is the problem with things like this, no idea is unique although sometimes styled in a different way, I have to admit I am guilty of copying some things, like the ways I do ribbons now etc just little things.

Thanks once again :D ... I will have a go.

I have a spreadsheet with costs in and so far only managed to get the price at cost of items to £21.85 with loads of extras, although the nappies aren't included in that price but even then it only makes them about £25

If all the items come to £25.00 then that's about right to ask for £30.00 to £40.00 for it they say when you make anything you should double it and then add a third on (I don't but some do) you should be making money on it for your time

I have only ever made one nappycake for my sister in law and I posted my pathetic attempt on here :D BUT I still like to look on this thread and see what you all create as I think they are so pretty..

    SO..

I just came across your post Julie H and I know exactly who you are now! I am a scrapbooker on UKS and I read that scrapblog just to pass time but I haven't read it for about 3 months now. I am so sorry you have had a hard time on there. Some people are just SO rude. I know who you are on UKS now and I have seen your nappy cakes and always wondered if you was from here LOL. Don't listen to them and dont give up hope. Not everyone likes nappy cakes.. but for some people.. they are overjoyed.. and if people didn't like them there wouldn't be such a boom of businesses starting up to sell them!!

Brilliant news on the orders Rusty:T :T

Yesterdays fayre was much better I sold 2 cakes and lots of interest. I was really pleased because I didn't expect to sell any so it was a lovely bonus.

I've got 2 on order for next week but I am tempted to ring and ask if she wants the Xmas ones instead because they are both Xmas babies.

    Hello Guy's,
I have been looking at these for some time now but had no reason to make one, unless i made it for myself, but my sister in law is due in January and iwant to make one for her, the only problem is i'm not very creative. could someone please take some step by step pics of the next one they do as i can't seem to get my head around the written instructions.
    many thanks
