Hiya Jess I had no idea you were on here! I've been lurking for a while looking for Christmas ideas so now you're gonna now where the idea for your pressie came from lol.:D
If you want, come round later and collect my glue gun (I got it to do Moo's advent calendar!) and I need to go to Hobbycraft so you can come with if you like cos I doubt Steve will want to go lol.

Thanks Rf,
I'm no photographer and no flashy camera just the cube and a couple of desk lamps. Very pleased, a very worthwhile investment off ebay! Going to try the red background with my xmas cakes tomorrow.
Becs
Definately worthwhile investment and from what I can remember fairly cheap! The red one may not work aswell as it may clash with your ribbons? Can't wait to see more pics thoughI love your little santy and reindeer on the bows!

Becs I haven't used the dark background yet but will give it a try later.
Thanks Moonpenny that was so kind of you but I just phoned M&S in Cardiff and they have some santas, snowmen and reindeer in stock so I am going to pop up there tonight to pick them up. Itching to go now but my little Harri is starting Messy Mondays this afternoon in our local nursery and i've got to stay there with him for the afternoon.
Thanks Rusty for the good luck message I'm going to need it because I haven't done anything yet and I'm working nights tomorrow:eek:
I think this time though I will only make a few display ones and take orders. Because they are both school fayres I don't expect to get orders just generate a bit of interest.
The fayre of Thursday though is in a very posh area so hopefully it will get the word around there.
Welcome to Junior J too - good luck with your nappy cake xLittle Miss Chatterbox

JuniorJ it is just practice ... keep trying and you will get there in the end
Shelley I am sure you will get some orders from it ... has to be worth a try although things seem to be slowing down I guess cause it is almost christmas.
Can I ask ladies, Most of us use the florist ribbon can I ask what kind of price you are paying for it? I have searched high and low to find a reasonably priced roll, the cheapest I had found was £2.99 for 100 yrds (just under 100 metres) however when out today I found it considerably cheaper. I also managed to pick up curling ribbon 500 metres of that for 89pRaising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
Hi RF,
I can't really remember how much I paid for the ribbon. I did a couple of floristry courses a couple of years ago so these are what I had left over. I bought them from the wholesaler so I'm guessing it would have been about £1.50ish for the 100yds one.0 -
Rusty hobby craft had 1cm thick ribbon in all colours for £2.99 100meters!
Curling ribbon 100meters gold/silver 99p 100meters (half price)

Finally made my first Xmas Nappy Cake tonight - I'm too tired to do anymore so I plan to spend tomorrow making up the rest. That is if Harri will give me peace and I doubt that very much :rotfl:Little Miss Chatterbox
