Hi howdidthishappen, Your cakes look lovely - you have even mastered the sock roses. Well done!!!
Rusty - I happen to really like your first cake!
Question for you ladies who are doing fairs. How do you hear about them? is it through your children, school etc? I live in a big village and never hear about nything like this. If there is anything going off it is usually a really cheap sort of bring and buy thing, so nappy cakes would be really out of place.
Shelley, did you buy anything? I bought some rabbits and some more ducks. Bet in a few wks they will be a lot cheaper. Eapecially xmas stuff when they want to shift them. In last sales I bought their elephants and monkey for £2 and they are now£ 7.50
Kitiaracat - posted pic of my disclaimer. When the toy is not from birth I reprint that. i.e. suitable from 6 months etc.0 -
Thanks moonpenny i wrote something like that very late last night. Yours is really good but i'm not changing mine now. Getting a bit stressed as buisness cards not come so am having to do some myself on the computer but don't have any card so going to have to nip out. Shame no where locally does them. I hope my dh gets home on time to help me set up. You can't really carry many at a time can you. Will nip to morrisons and get some boxes.
My child not old enough for school yet but where i am having the stall they put up a huge banner with a contact number on to the reserve stalls. That's how i heard about it.:)Mummy to 2 wonderful boysWant to be fit for 30 not fat at 30but i want never gets!!!0 -

Hi all, I bought some gorgeous baby hooded towels in boxes from HB. But just a warning - some of them have got flaws where the threads have been pulled and some have got the odd mark on them. I will have to return some - it's just a matter of inspecting them.0

Hi guys been busy doing all my cakes for the fayre next weekend. Want to get at least 1 of everything done by tomorrow. I did the 8 single tiers the other day and then made all the bows fo them and did the ribbons only ran out of double sided tape and local co op only had bostik sticky dots so thought I'd give them a go. Well I spent a couple of hours doing them all and went to bed only to get up in the morning and find they'd all fallen off and the bows fallen apart. Marvellous! So put them in the bin and re did them all tonight with double sided tape! Also made up all the bows I need as that's the bit I find the most tedious now so I've done all 31 bows. I've got 3 two tiers and four 3 tiers to do tonight and tomorrow.
Shelley or Bellag do you have the link for the sign guy off ebay, had forgotten all about that so best do it pronto as I ened it for next sunday!

Hi Becs - Sounds like your really busy with your fairs coming up. Hope you are going to post some pics!
I use a hot glue gun to stick bows on and they dont budge. Put a bit of paper or card at the back if your worried about it going through but it dries so quick it isnt a problem.
Good luck for your fairs!0 -
Hi Moonpenny,
Will definately post some pics. At the moment I have a double bed in the spare room covered completely in nappy cakes. Got a friend coming round in a minute to takes some pics for my banner and brochures as she has a decent camera.
Shelley, we took the photocube out the bag again to give it a go. Doubt it will ever go back in again now! :rotfl:
