Just a thought on the socks...not sure the green ones on the blue cake go..or is that just the photo making them look green? Maybe just pop them inside the cake if you still want to include them?

Really good cakes, can't believe they're your first attempt! Do agree with Bellag about the green socks though but absoloutely fab first job!

Bellag I agree about the fayres being about promotion although this is worrying me after the big outlay for my posh fayre! Hoping they'll be lots of Grandparents there with new or due babies!

I also agree with Bella and Becs about the green socks but the cakes are fantastic so well done as you can see my first attempt was rubbish but they are a lot better now so I hope you don't think we are criticising.

Becs when is your posh fayre? I am sure you will get some orders, have my fingers and everything crossed for you!

Hi Rf,

I've got a normal Christmas gift fayre on 30th nov then the posh one on 2nd december. I'd booked mon 1st off work as well incase I need to make up more cakes, was due to have an MRI scan but now been put back to the thursday so that's ok will have the whole day free.

Hi ladies thanks for your comments i was actually really pleased with them, better than i expected. I did mean to mention that the green socks are actually my little girls and just put them on there as an example as i didnt have any blue ones, just really made them as a couple of mocks to show my friends and see if there is any interest before i go out and buy more things.
