Nappy Cakes

The blankets on the last 2 of my cakes are from Primark and are £3 they do blue, yellow and pink. I normally use asda ones but starting to use the ones from Primark as they wash so much better (from personal experience my daughter has 8!)
You could do a nappy cake aswell as a basket if you shopped around and looked in the sales etc. Most places do cheaper bits now so with a budget of £45 I would say you could do a plain nappy cake (with no clothes on it just nappies and ribbon.) This would set you back around £8 ish dependant on how many nappys and the make of nappies. And then with £35 ish you could get plenty of goodies for a hamper.Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -

I do that lol ... I had a blue one before my daughter was born even though I knew she was a girl but they had no pink ones and I had to have one lol ... we picked up a couple of pink ones and then picked up more as spares lol she now has 8 and one I turned into a taggy blanket for her. 1 blue, 1 purple and pink spotty, 1 taggy and 5 pink ones
She won't have any other kind of blanket and will not sleep without one of them lolRaising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
Hi babyella - Welcome to the madhouse!!!
I would do what Rusty suggested and make a cake just with ribbons, Maybe 2 tiers and sit it to one side of your basket. Then You have plenty of money left for all the goodies displayed in the basket.
Gorgeous stuff from Asda, Matalan at really reasonable prices. Same for blankets plus Primark. I got a load of lovely blankets from Home Bargains a while ago but am gutted that they seem to have stopped selling them. Good luck with your creation and don't forget to post a pic! We need more pics!!!!0 -
I meant a cake - just with NAPPIES and ribbons!!! Am in need of coffee!!!!0
