Yaaaayyyyy!!! Sold my first cake! Another "VERY PINK" one "below" My daughter-in-law took some photos of ones Iv'e made, to work and I SOLD ONE. Or rather - she did!!!
Lots of posts on here in just a couple of days and all these fantastic cakes!
Bellag - I love yours - don't know which one I would choose.
I'm having problems with the wrapping as well. It keeps building up static inside the cello so that the ribbons stick to the inside wall and not where I want them to.
Rusty - I agree what you said about the same cakes taking different amounts of nappies etc. I think Iv'e got it sussed and then I have to add more.

Hi Rusty, Sleepsuits are just folded to hight I want (usually ,legs up ,then fold again) and sleeves are put round back. I pin them or put elastic band round untill I put ribbon around and then cut away the elastic band.
I_am_mad, I had to practice a lot at ribbons. Finally got to grips with tying them with 2 loops instead of normal way.0 -

wow! have just found this thread and these nappy cakes are stunning! i had started to get bits together to do a newborn baby boy hamper but think i might make it into a nappy cake instead, although i have already bought the basket i as going to use (quite a large white wicker one with blue material inside from dunelm) do you think it would look ok if i put the cake inside the basket with a few other bits around it? or would that look too much? it is a joint present from me and 8 friends so the budget is £45 so can get a lot to go in it (hopefully!)
and can i also just ask where you all get your blankets from please?0
