NST June 2017: Jiggle Free June

So far in June I have dome really well with exercise and I'm well on track for my charity 10k in July. I'm also doing core and more general weights and I am branching out each time I go to the gym - I try a new machine or piece of equipment each time. I haven't quite gained the courage to venture into the muscle head bit yet but maybe when it's quiet...
Work is going well. The residential was my first as a leader and I was proud of how smoothly it went. I also managed to take enough healthy snacks to last me the week and rejected consumerism each day by forgoing expensive coffees and instead taking cartons of fruit juice (ecno brand). By day 5 this took all my will and I did once crumble when it was chilly and had a hot chocolate. I took £30 cash for the week and came back with about £1. This was mainly spent on presents for my little boy!
Term will be over soon and so I'm looking at the next few weeks of June as an opportunity to get my head down and spend as little as possible.
My aim for the summer will be not to dip into my 'shallow' savings - I'm terrible for this, especially when OH suggests doing something nice and I end up thinking life's too short when what I should say is, 'that's a lovely idea, but can we do a cheap Park picnic instead!? '
Was really pleased the other day when he suggested a trip up the local park instead of a beautiful set of locks about half an hour away, ' to save on petrol'.

Will continue to work hard on money saving and healthy living - I'm now cycling to work every possible opportunity and also to and from the gym.

Yesterday was a NSD 6/16 :D and I ran home from work. Love running home from work as it's good exercise, I get home quicker and I leave my purse at work so no spending.

Today I need to get some more fruit and also need to book travel tickets for visiting my brother and SIL next month.

Been for a run this morning and surprisingly really enjoyed it! Didn't struggle either so overall fitness must be improving :j I'll also have a walk at lunchtime, but have hit my exercise targets for the week.

Today will also be a NSD, bringing me up to 7/15. Nearly halfway and I should get a few this week (hopefully!).

I'm really enjoying this challenge and think I'll do another next month. I've never done a monthly challenge before on here, and have struggled at times to keep track of my spending since becoming debt free, so this has really helped :money:

My goals for the next ten days. UPDATED

*Do 4 sessions on the exercise bike, including one that is 90 minutes long.
    [STRIKE]
*Arrange X Ray on my leg to see if I have a stress fracture so I can know if I need to rest it or if I can take up running again.[/STRIKE]

*Get all the documents I need ready to do my self employed taxes.

[STRIKE]*Attend introductory session with my potential counsellor-arrange first formal session if a good fit, find someone else if not.[/STRIKE]

[STRIKE]*Go to the library and take out books to do with Mental Health/Social Anxiety/Depression as I am in a bit of a low state at the moment (the fact I am arranging to see a counsellor may have been a clue)
    [/STRIKE]
*Keep up with my blogging and other general commitments.

I'm doing ok on my goals but still have a little way to go.

Ouch. Definitely not a NSD. £500 before the lawyer has even started. Then my phone died so I missed 2 vital calls. Grrr. Emergency visit to 3 meant I didn't have time to prep food. Add on bus into town and an essential caffeine stop while waiting.

I'm going to do the milk top up on the way home to try and avoid a spend tomorrow.

Positive note, I did go for the dog walking this morning, so £10 earned against legal fees.
    Goals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18
    Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o

    Hugs FBO.

A NSD for me. Up at the crack of dawn to take mum to another appointment. Very good journey (we were expecting traffic jams) and went in early. Don't need to go there again until September. Consultant recommended the new pneumonia jab as her markers for resistance were low.

Have line dried washing and put out the bins both here and at mum's but lack of sleep (3 - 4 hours) is holding me back. Going to switch off soon and hope for an early start tomorrow (could only find one trainer yesterday, need to fight back against the chaos).

Today I am grateful for a smooth journey and easy appointment, getting a few things done and filling the bin.

It's my first post in a while as we were away for my daughter's 9th birthday this weekend. The cost of the trip shocked me and I am sorry to report that although a lovely time was had by all, I am now more broke and in more debt than ever :(

But, onwards and upwards. Will be working harder than ever to get to my DFD now that it's 'out of the way'.

Have not done any specific exercise, but walked for miles every day. Have been trying to squeeze a whole weekend's housework into one evening today. Also, the plants that I have been growing from seed were looking very neglected so had to see to them today too, and had to fit this in after work all day and then taking both children to the dentist. Yesterday didn't fare much better as I had forgot I had a Governors meeting at my daughter's school and then had to go to the supermarket for a cake as they always do a party at school for children on their birthdays.

Tomorrow my daughter has an after school club, and then it'll be home to make a dent in the masses of ironing that is taking over my house!

I am very much looking forward to the weekend!! Have OH fathers day gift sorted, but struggling with what to get my Dad...think I will get him some PJ's as he is always cold in the evening.

Will catch up with what you have all been up to later. Today I am grateful for managing to fit so much in, that the children have healthy teeth and for getting back on track with my MSE plans!

    Hello,

Finally getting somewhere with my SFDs, on 5 today. DS is mostly over his chickenpox and back in school. So FIL left again and we can go back to less elaborate dinners (felt bad that he came all the way to babysit so I thought I feed I'm him very well at least).

Run today at lunch but no fast day today. I think I better start with the 5:2 (so wait till Friday for another one) as 4:3 might be too much, although I have read triathletes and other sporty people doing it. Will need to read more about it so I can utilise the health benefits without the weight loss.

Still not had the results back from the vet, but the cats lump in her face is getting bigger too fast for my liking :(.

DH ordered himself a new phone for £250 :mad::mad: and it hasn't turned up yet. There were no reviews on Amaz0n till yesterday when two people reported they hadn't received theirs or had contact. DH tried to contact the company and hasn't heard back either. He'll get in contact with Amaz0n today.

I booked myself a cheap train ticket and two nights in a YH for my triathlon in August. DH asked if he and the kids should come, if i'd be alright - YES, I'll be fine, can't wait to get a weekend to myself, actually :p

    Have a nice day
