Morning all! Sorry I didn't check in yesterday! Had a mad day, had to be out our flat at 8.15 and not return until 4pm as they were removing asbestos from the roof so it was a very long, hot day! Today I will:
- Check banking
- Go for a walk
- Pick up a few bits of foodie shopping that is needed
- Enjoy this lovely weather!
- Eat healthily from home
Have a lovely day all xDebt free once - Back again | Current debt: £2479.50 - January 2025 | Make £2025 in 2025 #11 - £41/£20250 -
Morning all,
Well done HappyKittiess DD :T
Thank you Bobarella
We stayed outside in the garden last night until almost 10.00pm. It was a lovely evening. Managed to get some cut price perennials for our new bed, planted Lettuce, spring onions, beetroot and broccoli.
We also planted out the bedding plants and I planted my hanging baskets and pots at the front door. We gave everything a good tidy. Looks lovely.
Todays jobs
-Ive already made hm cereal bars. all chopped and wrapped so they should last us a good week and a half.
-Pull out some meat for tea tonight, it's such a beautiful day I think we will cook it on the barbi
-Check bank and move money allocated for debts into separate account
-Call at my daughters and water their plants whilst they are away on honeymoon. She also has a spare tomato plant for me.
-Call at Hm Bargains. We need a trellis or something for a climbing plant but the garden centre prices are just ridiculous.
Enjoy the sunshine today, have a good Thursday xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Good Morning! Hope everyone is well.
Happy Kitties, well done on DD passing her driving test! Quite a relief when they pass. My DS will start taking lessons next year...he's eager to get going.
Dawn W I can totally sympathise with you regarding the lack of sleep.I wish there was a magic wand and you could just fall asleep when you needed to.
Today looks like a real scorchio out there! Feeling so hot in my living room so I'm having to work in the kitchen where it's a bit cooler.
So looking at today's list:
* Post eBay parcel
* Pop into Tesco next to the post office and pick up just a few items, bigger shop will happen tomorrow which is pay day and I can't wait as funds are very dry!
* One lot of washing is on and I'll hang out to dry
* Meals from home
* Plant some mint
* Complete Swags
* No evening walk today as DH is on a late shift so I'll just get in a sweaty workout this afternoon at home
Have a marvellous day and enjoy the sunshine :cool:0 -
Many thanks for everyone's kind wishes with regards to DD passing her driving test.
She is driving herself to her first exam today, I feel like I'm losing her to adulthood, but at least it is one thing that can be ticked off the list for when I have my surgery, we really needed her driving.
I didn't see the car for all of last night!
This morning I got up to find that my pansies in the downstairs toilet attacked and actually half stuck in the toilet. I know the culprits are missing kitty now home and her sister-they shred anything plant like. Managed to recover them so will get them out today while DD is doing her exam.
Going to iron DD uniform that I didn't get done last night.
Also need to finish off paperwork today and get an invoice sent out
DD is taking missing kitty now home for her B12 injection later so no need to go out today, still spending as I offered to pay for this injection
Have a great day everyone xxDecluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hey :coffee:
Thanks everyone for your kind words - I am trying to relax, but I think the truth is I need a couple of weeks to get caught up on sleep etc. Then I can only sleep if my stupid brain will let me, and it often doesn't. I went to bed at half nine last night utterly shattered and woke up at least half a dozen times during the night.
Can't bin off my tutoring FvD as he's a GCSE student, but the end is in sight - less than a monthPlus only one more work get up then I get a week off (ish) Trying to do all my planning today so I can enjoy the hols as much as possible.
I might however, look a bit more seriously for a cleaner. That really would make a world of difference to my life.Not giving up

Afternoon all, today has been a spendy day as I didn't have anything to bring in for breakfast and lunch.
We just had a book sale at work, 20p per book, I have bought about a dozen brand new hardbacks including a J0 Nesb0, need to read them super quick to sell them on to pay for...
There was also a small homes sale, not quite so cheap but I got some lovely things, the most gorgeous pottery chicken I've been admiring since I started here (it wasn't actually in the sale but I asked and the right person overheard :rotfl:) A tablecloth in gorgeous seaweed fabric, a Debenh@ms candle and a nest box the hole of which is the right size for house sparrows (which are apparently the ones we should be providing boxes for as they are having a harder time than some other species.)
This afternoon there is an auction for some other items and I have put in an email bid for a retro-styled DAB radio. Thank heavens it's payday tomorrow!Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)
December £361.54, November £322.28, October £288.52, September £374.30, August £223.95, July £71.45, June £251.22, May£119.33, April £236.24, March £106.74, Feb £40.99, Jan £98.54) Total for 2017 - £2,495.100 -
Hello Sunny Savers,
What a gorgeous day. Far too hot for all the walking I've been doing. A few bits today:
*Free fitness delivering election leaflets. Fitbit currently at over 14,000 steps. Did over 10,000 yesterday too, which isn't bad for a small fat nacker!
*Made bread dough for 6 rolls & 4 individual pizzas. One each for dinner tonight with use-it-up salad & home made coleslaw, & the others for our picnic on Saturday (beer festival).
*Did a small wash to make use of free drying weather while we've got it.
*Planted out my outdoor tomatoes.
*Started hardening off courgettes.
*Watered all our other food crops & picked 1st home grown cucumber of the season. Plenty of lettuce ready too so that's 2 items that won't be on this week's shopping list.
*Do next week's meal plans.
*Write shopping list.
*Nobble mr f about anything I might need to know about for setting June's budget (which I will be doing tomorrow)
*NSD for both of us
*Free entertainment now I've finished my job list & all that walking.....1st in an Icelandic crime series to start reading, a bread baking book from the library as I intend to start a sourdough culture next week & another episode of a European crime box set via our Firestick tonight.
Sympathies to those who had a rubbish night for sleep. I did too. Awoke at 1.20 am, felt my brain ping on & couldn't switch it off again, worrying about my Dad, overthinking all the options for Mum, because he is getting worse & live 75 miles away from me & 60 from my sister. I did manage to get back to sleep around 3.30 but not very deeply. CCL - You & I both have the sort of brains which don't have a very good 'off switch'. I do all the right things but whatever the big underlying worry is always manages to bubble back up to the surface.
Better luck tonight, eh?
Love to all,

Evening all.
Too right Foxgloves - you and I don't seem to get along too well with sleep. I'm shattered now but no point in trying to sleep this early otherwise I'll be up most of the night.
I'm home for the evening, done as much as I can be bothered with and am going to put my feet up for a couple of hours.
Not a nsd - we had run out of cat food so I needed to sort that urgently.
Other than that just enjoying the sunshine for a while.Not giving up

Evening everyone.
Still doing the paperwork, I'm sure that stuff just multiplies as soon as I've completed something, then finding out last minute deadlines-deadlines I had no idea about originally that I've had to ask for an extension on has driven me crackers. Just about to start more paperwork in a minute.
Didn't really get much done, haven't seen much of the car, DD has gone out looking for YS bargains for me and her gran, even though she has an exam tomorrow, the car is much more appealing!!
Didn't get my pansies in, they're safe so won't be attacked again but I'm definately getting them in tomorrow.
Did manage to get some washing sorted and dried, been a real hot one here today.
CCL / Foxgloves here's hoping you get a better nights sleep. It's just the worst though when your brain won't switch off
Well I best go and crack on.
Have a good evening everyone xDecluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
