I'm starting the Essential IT Skills @ Work course soon. There aren't many courses funded here, which is odd considering Blackburn's poverty levels You can only get courses if you're in employment here, kinda ironic.

I did the Health and Safety online course with V2L over a year ago. I've got a degree so I think the criteria have changed. The course was pretty easy and like a previous poster I did it in about 3 weeks. The qualification is useful to me but I can understand why a lot of people would drop out - it was fairly uninteresting and dry coursework.

Hi,

Are there any ITQ Assessor/Internal Verifier here? I need some advice.

Currently I am doing ITQ Level 2 through Vision2Learn. I already have NVQ Bus Admin Level 3 which includes units of ITQ spreadsheet level 3 and Use IT to Exchange information Level 2.

My assessor has confirmed that I do not have to redo the both units and they should count toward my ITQ but they are not sure how this will be done. It is called APL or API. My assessor have emailed the verifier for some advice.

Can anyone advice how this will be deone? Will the Business Admin certificate will be sufficient which they already have or I have submitt everything again?

I've applyied but I didn't had much hpes... and today they called me and sayed I qualified for the free course. (I live in London)
I'm so happy!
I will do the Bussiness and Admin, they said that they will contact me in 2-3 weeks to start. Did anyoane did this course? How much does it take (the minimum I want to commit to thid and finish as soon as possible, I really need to finish by July)

just had a look on the website mentioned at the beginning of this thread, are the courses actually/definitely free? as i know my mum would like to do one but gets nervous doing it at a college as she is 50 now and has no formal qualifications. hope someone can help

Not 1 of the courses on the list are available through funding in either the Dudley or Wolverhampton area :mad:
