That's brilliant news about the energy debt! Also about the new cooker.
Might be worth a complaint to the bank about not posting out the log in details. Especially if they've caused you financial problems as a result."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
I was so hopeful you would get a good result from the energy company, brilliant, brilliant, brilliant!0

Fantastic news on the energy debt Hidden! I'm so pleased for you, you really deserve to catch a break with this debt stuff and hopefully that will help take the pressure off a bit :T
Great news about the cooker too0 -
Such amazing news about the energy trust, fantastic! You must be over the moon:j PAID VERY, Barclaycard x3, Vanquis, Natwest, O/D, Tesco & MBNA x2 PAID :j LBM 24/07/15 - Original Debt: £0/31010.23 (100% paid)

Thanks all
I really am over the moon!
I've been cleaning and doing surveys and just generally pottering round the house the weather is rubbish!
I hadn't thought to complain to that bank, but I might just have to tell them how mad I am. They wont transfer the money to my Nationwide account even though I am the only Payee on that bank account, even though I can tell them to the penny whats in/out. Even though for the past 9 years I've done the same transfer on the same day of the week every week
Plus good point Jwil now it means I can't pay my bills! Luckily they aren't DD so no bank charges but it does mean I've broken my agreement with Council Tax and I've had to beg to let them give me a little longer!!0 -

Hidden, good idea to complain to the bank - send them a letter and make a mention of compensation for the inconvenience you've experienced? Remember that you can also complain to the Ombudsman if the bank don't answer to your satisfaction ... one of my colleagues made a complaint to the Ombudsman about his bank recently and he received £800 -
I'm really thrilled for you HI. Excellent news.
I will now prod you a bit for another thing. Have you had the DLA Application forms through and if so, have you checked that link to maximise your chances of getting a good award and filled in and sent off the forms?
If you are stuck with the forms - make an appointment with a benefits advisor at your local Citizens Advice Bureau and get them to help you. An hour's pain but it will reap rewards for you petal.
You cannot afford to not get an extra income stream to help you out when your OH is being so irresponsible. It is money that is there to help you. Don't be thinking anything else!Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I am at £1286.68/£3000 or 42.89% of my annual spend so far
I also Reverse Meal Plan on that thread and grow much of our own premium price fruit and veg, joining in on the Grow your own thread

Thank you, I might ask my step dad to help if he has time, I am really rubbish when it comes to writing a letter/email and my spelling is terribleSuffolk_lass wrote: »I'm really thrilled for you HI. Excellent news.
