  • Hi Hidden

Sounds as though your household is returning to better health.

Have you managed to sort your referral and appointment? I am just worried you will put yourself at the end of the list again.

    Nag over.

Did the children manage the scrapbook whilst on holiday?

    Take care honey

  • Things are fitting back into place, slowly. Still struggling with thoughts and things  seems to be lingering longer than I'd like this time.

I haven't chased the referral or made myself an appointment yet :o I keep forgetting. I will get round to it though. It's still on my list.

The kids did make a scrapbook, it's brilliant and thank you so much for the idea. We've decided to do one over Xmas too and are cutting Xmas related things out of all the junk mail and leaflets that we find so they can reuse/make pictures from them.

    Thank you x
  • I'm glad you and the children enjoyed doing the scrapbook. I think it helps to build imagination as well as time consuming. Doing the Christmas one could be a good way to run up to the big day itself.

It's also a great way of keeping them away from screens too. There's lots of ideas of activities. You mentioned doing an activity a day?

We will keep on reminding you about the appointments etc. You need people on your side and we are it.

  • Yeah we have a activity a day through December, Most are just simple free things :o Make christmas cards/make gingerbread houses/make christmas decorations etc along with one or two that involve going out like visit santa (free). We also have a few things on over December I've agreed to helping at, charity events and similar. So I think we will take pictures while doing activities/when things are made and use these in the scrapbook.

I don't want to have to spend but also want to keep it fun for the smalls

So pleased you're all feeling better and that you are almost back to normal with the lists and stuff - good sign xx

I've started my Christmas shopping too, ideally want it all done by end November.

  • I don't usually shop until the very last minute as what I actually buy is a really small list :o

But because there's only me this year and everyone else is away now I think I might get a few 'extras' from vouchers if I can :o Nothing over board but a few small things maybe. I don't know yet :o

I got my timing wrong when I had DS just before Christmas (20th) and DD beginning of January. So has always been a doubly expensive time for me. However, not got that many presents to buy compared to most people. I've given up on buying extras food wise as no one eats them. It's nice to have something a bit different as a treat though.
