It is important that we know where we come from, because if you do not know where you come from, then you do not know where you are, and if you don't know where you are, then you don't know where you are going. If you don't know where you're going, you're probably going wrong.

I also get up at 5am - I start work at 7am. It's hard going now the mornings are dark at that time.

I agree with everyone else - the Forest School and puddle suit sound amazing :)

  • I am so glad its Friday tomorrow! I am SO tired. I cannot wait to clean at my own speed and not be rushing around for a goof 18 hours a day  Did I mention I'm tired :o

I don't really have anything to say.

Cheque hasn't cleared yet. £2 spent on milk. Need some fresh bits this weekend, have made sure everything is used up in the fridge. Have added 8 portions of casserole and 5 chilli to the freezer for ready meals. Loads more soup from fridge ends and last of the salad stuff in tomorrow's lunches.

Think we will need the heating on soon. It's definitely getting colder!

  • I think the time I'm posting my update says enough about how hectic my day has been. I have been on my feet since 5am! I am dead on my feet, just having a cuppa and some toast :o then jumping in the shower while I wait for the washing to dry so I can iron.

I hope the smalls let me lay in past 5am tomorrow :rotfl:

Hope everyone is well. Will have a catch up with everyone's diary over the weekend x
  • Forest school is great, lots of learning outdoors. Do the school/nursery not have puddle suits that you can use? We have sets of suits that we dress the children in, so that wellies are the only thing we ask for, although we have a good supply of donated wellies now. Try Millets online as they have decent suits and often have 20% off days. If you have a country store/agricultural stores are you, it may well be worth a look. I've bought boots, coats and waterproofs there at reasonable prices.

5.15 am starts here, so sympathise with the tiredness.

  • Hidden, feel free to ignore me as I am a sloven but now that you are working (quite a few hours) could you slightly relax on the housework/cleaning?

I subscribe to the mindset that if you are tired then its better to go to bed and reinvigorate yourself than stay up for hours cleaning and not get as much sleep so you are tired the next day and so the cycle continues.

Could you relent slightly on the bedclothes washing and do it less often?

Does the uniform have to be washed and ironed the same day or could you leave some/all of it until the next day or the weekend?

I'm another one who thinks you need to relax on the chores a bit.
