Have a great break away. My family used to go away in a caravan every year, the day I remember best is playing board games because it was such horrible weather, it was great! We probably had more exciting things planned which the weather meant we couldn't do but it was great,!0

Hi. My partner left me two years ago and I struggled to get hold of the money situation. Read Help I'm a Single Mum by Lanie Mills, it's got easy to follow financial help and it's not a long boring read. It's for single parents but the ideas anyone can use. Hope it helps.0

Thank you
We had an amazing weekend!
Spent Fri night playing cards and dominos and generally just laughing. Youngest always has to win (even if she isn't playing :rotfl:) and DS is the king of being a cheat
Sat morning we spent on site, soft play/arcades etc as the rain was really bad! We went back to the caravan for lunch and playing board games while I decided if we'd brave going into Blackpool for the lights. Around 3pm it dried up so we braved it and it was an amazing night. It wasn't cold and didn't rain at all! We ended up staying out way past bedtime (it was around midnight when we landed back at site) It wasn't a NSD we spent around £20 in Blackpool and the change in my purse was spent on site. Totally worth every penny and I wish we could do it every weekend.
The kids have said how brilliant it's been, they got on really well, no being told off and no shouting. I feel so happy with how it went. I was really worried I wouldn't manage (Last year I cried because my anxiety just wouldnt let me go to the lights etc)
Anyway we are home, kids are eating then going in the bath. We all need an early night ready for the week ahead. Makes me so glad I got the house work done on Friday!
Counting down the days to half term when we can go back
Hope everyone is well x0 -
We used to go and see the lights when I was little, always a late night but a magical one when you are tiny.
Sounds like a great weekend. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese
