Soup - chuck all the sorry things lurking in the fridge, cover with stock (or water and a stock cube) and leave on low 6-8 hours. I blend ours a bit so it not totally smooth but gives it enough thickness not to need cream etc. I really don't follow a recipe and just chuck it in, nearly always has a potato in to help with thickness too.
Youngest did better today, she only cried for around 30 minutes. Then was okay and wasn't crying when she was collected. Makes me feel a whole load better.
We are home, kids fed and bathed and in bed. Youngest is asleep already! The other's aren't far off.
Made the leftover bolognaise into chilli so that makes tomorrow easy

I love making soup and like you I don't use recipes. Just throw in bits and pieces and it turns out great. It's so good for using up bits and bobs of veg and chicken as well.

Wow, you are powering through everything at the moment, well done! Hope work/school continues to go well.Trying to figure out a whole new life. Trying to figure out a whole new budget.
Divorcing, unclear on final debt total right now, but focusing on building a financial buffer zone.0 -
Suggestion for now that you're working - set yourself a time limit for the household/cleaning stuff when you get home - and prioritise the stuff that's actually important - washing, washing up, cleaning up actual mess for example. Everything else can wait and nobody will die if a floor's not swept or a window ledge polished - you need to pace yourself a bit and make sure you take some time for you to recharge your batteries as well though otherwise you'll burn out and be struggling with the job which is NOT what you need. How about using Flylady's basic levels as a prompt for the vital stuff, then just dip into the other levels as and when?

I’m a super neat/clean freak and my boyfriend recently moved in which meant mess/clutter and to combat having a complete meltdown about it I now get home and set a 40 minute timer, I make a list of things that need doing in the house and I work through the list as much as I can in the 40 minutes. When the timer goes off it’s time to stop.. Honestly I thought I was a clean freak before but I get so much more done in that 40 minutes every day than I did when I used to clean as and when. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Well done Hidden I'm really happy for you starting your new job. It is a bit of a nightmare fitting everything in but it will make it so much better for you to be in control of your money. I haven't read all the way back as I am at work and so just had a quick read.
I am trying really hard to start as I mean to go on with this new school term and that means not getting lost in the MSE forums when I should be making sure I am organized at home. Therefore having a quick 10 minute break at work and catching up as best I can.
Hope all has been well over the last couple of weeks. Your diary moves on so quickly I cant keep up.
