So starting on the girls room I've emptied everything out and cleaned the walls down etc. Really it needs plastering but for now painting will do :o

I have gloss and white for the ceiling so will make a start on that tomorrow night. Need to find some paint for the walls on Friday. I have a curtain pole. Hopefully over the next two weeks I'll survey enough to sort beds and materess and that should see there's done. I like a challenge ;)

Hidden, you are truly amazing. I don't know how you do all of this all by yourself. You sound like my neighbour who can turn her hand to anything. She says her practicality was born out of necessity. She raised three great children on her own with little money so just had to learn. I'm still full of admiration for you both.

Tuesday: Day at the museum in town. Spends £2.60 bus fair for the 2 kids youngest free and I'll borrow my sisters bus pass. Will take pack lunches and drinks. Jacket potato and chicken/salad for dinner.

All ready to go, just waiting on DS finishing eating because he takes forever, so just catching up with a coffee.

Still cold and wet  so instead of jacket potatoes I've put beef stew in the slowcooker.

Have a lovely day everyone x

It is important that we know where we come from, because if you do not know where you come from, then you do not know where you are, and if you don't know where you are, then you don't know where you are going. If you don't know where you're going, you're probably going wrong.

Have a great day and hope the decorating goes well. A fresh lick of paint just brightens rooms up I think and spending some of your survey money on a few new things to accessorise is a good way of raising the money for this. Life cannot all be about debt busting.

  • Hi Hidden

You wonder why schools don't do their logos in patches to be sewn on. This means that you can get the items cheaper elsewhere and then add the patch. I don't have kids but from what a hear from friends etc it sounds as if schools are a nightmare to deal with. I think I would be so angry with half the stuff.

Anyway hoping the decorating goes to plan. If any holes are in the walls just fill them if thats the reason it needs plastered and then paint over.

Hope you have a fab day at the museum. xxx
