It makes me so mad that they insist on so much stuff being logo'd - what possible difference can it make if a PE bag has a logo on it? It's so unfair for the parents who are struggling a bit.

Honestly - if you can't stretch to everything between now and the new term I'd prioritise the bits that actually matter (DS's jumper for example) and then replace other items as you can - it won't make the blindest bit of difference if their book bags are last year's for an extra month, and if the school want to bleat about it, they can pay the bill too, can't they!

Probably a good idea to put off winter coats as late as you can in any event - reduce the time they have to grow out of them, eh!

It all works out on paper, lets just hope it works out. I'm watching some bits of 'normal' clothes on eBay and the neighbour who helps with school runs said her DS might have some bits for my DS. fingers crossed.

    I'll make it work out.

My sister has gone for the slow cooker so we can all have dinner here :rotfl: least it means she can do the washing up not me ;)

    hi, HI, lol

your right about the PA surveys, today had a couple and its pushed me sooo close to the first minimum cashout of £5 and another £3 pending, not bad for i'd say hour and few mins work, done whilst listening to radio catch up! compares quite well to NMW!

now if only the focus group / medical trials werent so S / SE / london biased!

School uniforms are a pain in the bum, if I ran a school I would bulk buy everything and cut out the additional money man in the uniform shop who takes a profit. It just doesn't seem fair.
Good luck with the surveys, thanks to you I have £20 from prolific which will come in handy this month.

Finally back home, kids had the quickest shower ever and straight into bed a bit late but it is the holidays :o My excuse and I'm sticking to it ;)

Good thing of being out 12 hours the house is still spotless :D Going to make a coffee and sweep outside and down the back.

I have to admit to making my boys use the same book bag for years, until they actually fell to bits. I don't automatically replace anything over the summer either.

The thing that really annoys me is on of our governors owns the companies that make the branded products. Entirely co-incidental that they now have to have a branded t-shirt for PE as well this year

    rant, rant, rant :o:p

Glad they had a good day, and hope you now have a sit down with that coffee

It's not something I'd replace usually DS has had his since starting same for DD. Its the new logo and colours which is why I need to replace them.

Same for our PE kits, they are logo now too :( T-shirt and jogging pants.

I'd have to raise a "conflict of interest" if that was me!
