Do you know what is keeping you awake (or waking you)? Is there something in your head when you wake up?

It isn't easy when your circumstances change but I don't want to intrude so I will set out how it happens with me in case this helps.

When I wake up (I am always so tired I can fall asleep - it is staying that way that is my problem) - I always have the most immediate thing in my head, and if it is more than one thing, it is because I am trying to sort it out in my sub-conscious.

The first thing I do is to write it all down and then break it down into smaller bits that I can either park (outside my control) or address (inside my control). Then I get them out in the morning and review my list (I like lists, it helps with order and prioritising, and it gives my mind peace that I have recorded it so I won't forget it). Sometimes I just look and then put it away, sometimes it is all back in proportion, and sometimes I know I cannot sort it on my own so I start to think about what help/ from who etc I need.

And I try "one moment meditation" to get things back on the level before I try to go back to sleep. It's brilliant for me and is a short youtube video, if you want to look.

Anyway, sorry to ramble, but these work surprisingly well for me.

The handle is broken too will look on ebay, thats the main concern because I can't lock it now, although not a security issue really the police have fitted extra locks on all the windows. Will go look in a second.

I do think it's my crazy mind keeping me awake, after all bed time is the only time I really sit down and I'm not distracting myself with cleaning or entertaining the kids. Writing it down is a good idea, the night before last I decided to call someone at 3am just to clarify I wasn't totally insane even though I knew there was nothing they could do. Will look at you tube thank you for replying.

£50 to council tax today :)

    £15 electric
£3.38 groceries (milk, some reduced fruit and potatoes)

Should be sorted again until next weekend, maybe a bottle of milk in the week but other than that we have plenty.

We managed to go to town for milk and potatoes along with a few bits that where reduced. No rain :D it's just starting to rain now.

I'm going to sort some bits for Ebay today! I haven't listed anything this month :(:o I don't really have much to go on yet. Once DD gets her new pushchair from OT then hers can be listed but need to replace the carseat with the funds from this.

Will sort through the kids clothes and list a few bits, there isn't much worth listing though. They've been passed down to youngest and most are now very tired!

I guess there might be some bits of toys that I could list, will speak to DS.

Nothing much else planned. Gonna let the girls make biscuits why DS goes to my sisters to play the Xbox with her OH.

Well still no ebay listing :o Will definitely do some over the holidays but the smalls don't want to part with any toys they have (to be fair they don't have loads, they usually pass on what they don't play with anymore to the nursery at their school or the play group behind us!)

Will have a few small pieces of DD's clothes because some just won't fit youngest in the right season/youngest won't wear a dress :rotfl: Maybe a few of DS as obviously I can't pass these down to DD's but usually pass to a neighbour. Maybe I'll ebay the Next things and pass the other things over the fence. Youngest destroys clothes so nothing from her :o

I have 8 white umbrellas too, bought for a wedding but then the weather held so they weren't used.

That's about it until my mum gets home! She has loads for me to list :D

Judging by the weather here, you could have listed and sold the umbrellas today!

If the umbrellas are in good condition and clean it might be worth dropping an email to local wedding photographers to see if you can get a buyer that way Hidden?

Didn't think of that EH, they are brand new still packaged.

The weather is the same here SL :(

    Thank you SA x

It's still raining *yawn. Other than about 2 hours this morning it has rained ALL week, feel so bad on the kids

So on that note planned the week ahead, rain or not we are NOT staying in.

Sunday: Roast day and Formula 1 :o Kids can bake, bath, early beds :D
Monday: Curry into slowcooker, day at my sisters to do fun stuff there. The kids love visiting ;) and its free :p
Tuesday: Day at the museum in town. Spends £2.60 bus fair for the 2 kids youngest free and I'll borrow my sisters bus pass. Will take pack lunches and drinks. Jacket potato and chicken/salad for dinner.
Wednesday: Bolognaise in slow cooker, day out at the library and some activities on at the church. Will take pack lunches and drinks (No spending)
Thursday Left over bolognaise turned into chilli in the slow cooker. We have some appointments in town, will fit in the big library and see what activities we can make it too there. Will take pack lunches etc (Spends £2.60 kids bus fare and I will use the borrowed pass again :o)
Friday: Travel to Manchester museum, again taking pack lunches etc (Spends £2.60 kids bus fare, I will use the borrowed pass again :o Donation for entry ?? not sure) Dinner will depend what time we are home but something we already have in.

Hoping my sister will fit in cutting mine and the girls hair this week (don't be alarmed she's an hairdresser :rotfl:)

So only planned spends are £7.80 bus fair for the kids and the donation for the entry to Science museum. Fingers crossed! I have £13 in my purse so this will pay for the days out and the milk we need.

I've got £20 in the bank but I think I will need a prescription on Thursday so that will be the majority of that gone! If not it will go to the Council tax :)

Short of knocking myself out and being asleep in the next half hour I guess I'm in the 2am club again :( I'm so tired I can't understand why I'm not asleep. I came to bed at 10. The house is clean. The ironings done. The kids are clean and happy. Literally everthing is done that could be and more! something that does stop me sleeping is if everything isn't done, but it is done along with extras. Bahh! I've been in bed nearly 4 hours and I'm about ready to give up and go watch TV :rotfl:
