    Good Morning all,

Grey start here, hoping the sun will break through soon.

Lottebear Congratulations :T You must be over the moon. Must feel wonderful not having any debt and knowing you've cleared it off. I can't wait for that day to arrive.
Also, good news on the job offer. I'm sure it will add to your skills for your CV which will be a bonus for the future.

La escocesa So sorry to hear things are tough for you right now. Sending you hugs and strength to get through this time.

    Today I plan to:

    - Have a good clean up. Hoover, dust all downstairs and clean the bathroom upstairs
    - Put on a couple of loads of washing and hang outside when hopefully the sun will be out to dry it
    - Take some time to sit down and write to all my creditors and tell them I am self managing my DMP and work out what my payments will be to them for the future
    - Wrap up a sold item from eBay last night
    - List some new items which I didn't do yesterday
    - Pop to local butchers and pick up some chicken for dinner tonight
    - Go for my long evening walk with DH and burn some calories before dinner
    - Get on Swags, complete some surveys
    - Check postcode lottery
    - Might try and give myself a mini facial later if I get the time. I have the steamer at home and everything.... I just don't seem to find the time

Have a lovely Saturday everyone. Look forward to reading what your all up to later :)

    Morning all :coffee:
Sending hugs your way LaE - :grouphug: I know it's not much...
Ziggy - great news for dh op :D
HK - poor kitty, but I hope that the wipes are 'all' it was and she's on the mend now.

My life has been a mess this week thanks to Ofsted. Teachers or anyone else who undergoes that level of judgement and scrutiny will understand. I thought I was working hard and it just got busier and busier, and I got less and less sleep. Moneysaving and frugality went out of the window. Lunches and dinners consisted of whatever I could get hold of quickly or get delivered in :o At least it's over now, and my feedback was very good so I'm happy with that - it's reassuring to know that you're doing a good job.
Today is all of the normal Saturday stuff and then some - ds football, tutoring, coffee with bestie, but then I also have to take naughty tortie to the vet  and I have brought a set of books and a set of test papers to mark as well. Mostly it's about getting back to normality though and recovering from what has been a manic few weeks at work. It will have to be small steps though.

    Good morning all,
Sorry to hear about your bad new La E hope things improve for you
Ziggy, lots of positive vives for the op
Twins, I posted my letters on Thursday. Nervously waiting for the responses. I'm just hoping they accept token payments so we can build up our emergency fund. I've also sent a request for CCA to Cabot as I've heard they are hopeless. Fingers crossed they don't provide them. They are by far our biggest creditors.
It's wet and misty here. So the garden may have to wait until later.
    List for today includes
    -Usual Saturday morning clean through
-Do some work on my ebay shop.
-Washing, hopefully can be dried outside later
-I'm going to turn 500kg of beef into a chilli, which will do two meals and a potato hash which will also do two meals. So will feed us over the weekend and the other portions will go in the freezer for next week.
-catch up with some programmes that DH won't watch (Made in Chelsea:o)
Fingers crossed we should have a no spend weekend. Have a great Saturday all x
Started Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.
Working hard to get rid of our debt.

I've bought a second hand baby monitor for £25 when it should of been £100 new, someone is dropping it off to me around mid day so I'm just waiting for that to arrive and LO is sleeping, then I need to pop into town :)

    - Check bank accounts
    - Tidy house or try to!

    Congratulations, Lottebear

I spent yesterday evening ironing and I finished the rest of the pile this morning :T There is however a full basket of washing, I need to get more organised and maybe hang some stuff up to dry (or at least hang it straight out of the tumble drier) so that less stuff needs ironing next time.

The car boot pile has grown as I've turned out some clothes as I went along.

I've just had a bath and then I'm going to run the Hoover round and then clear the way for the sofa delivery this afternoon.

I will pop to the little hardware shop to buy the right screws for rehanging my chalk board.

I have YS scones for breakfast and some YS sausage rolls in the freezer that I will defrost and heat with some chips and beans for tea, (reminds me of my childhood!)

It was supposed to be sunny here today but it so isn't but never mind.

Hope everyone is having a good day :)

Afternoon all :hello: congrats lottebear :D

Busy day here now time to relax:
    HM malt loaf in breadmaker
    Eldest to swimming
Both smalls to dancing, Pre paid :)
2 loads of washing out on line, plus remnants of yesterdays that didn't dry on airer
Did go out for late lunch but used staff discount so 4 hot meals, 2 pud and 2 drinks (1 small had tap water and DH and I shared) for £21.03 :T
    Froze apple DD didn't finish

    Other things:
Make note in diary to check utilities in a month. When I called to swop to a cheaper tariff, they recommended coming off ec0nomy 7 as it wasn't worth it which surprised me as we actively try and use electricity in the cheap time. So I'll monitor it and see, I can always switch back if I want.
Move some furniture round now we're getting straight in DD room
Home cinema tonight (draw curtains, put on Pre owned film and make popcorn from scratch :o)
    Early night all round
Put a load of washing on for tonight, although e7 electric means it'll be freshly washed tomrrow
May dig out my home gel machine and do my nails for the first time in ages
Check presents needed/ got for rest of may

Enjoy your day folks. Hope you're ok la e

It is temp placement with an agency, so no benefits ( sick pay etc) so I might be looking again in the near future, I figured it was worth a shot and it will give a good range of skills to my CV.

You'd be entitled to Statutory Sick Pay if you were off for four days or more, unless you're working in agriculture, providing your earn more than £113 gross per week.

You'll also be entitled to holiday pay as an Agency worker, even if you only do one days work you accrue holiday pay on that.

After 12 weeks you can ask to be paid the same as a permanent employee doing the same job.

You have a right to statutory maternity pay, statutory adoption pay and statutory paternity pay if you meet the qualifying conditions.

From the first day in a temporary job you are allowed to use workplace facilities, such as the canteen and creche or nursery.

I'll second that, I'm freelance and accrue half a days holiday for each week worked.

Today has been a spendy day but boy have I enjoyed it (and I feel like I spent it on *good* things.) I went to collect the teens fish tank and was pleased to see the discount I got was an online only thing so I'm glad I looked.

I then went to Homeb@se for screws for the chalk board but also bought more basics for my tool kit (namely pliers and some polyfiller) and a lug as the Hoover has gone kaput and they didn't have fuses (just in case it's that) so I had to buy the whole thing. I was planning on buying some small pots and herbs for the kitchen windowsill and, as luck would have it, they'd allowed them to dry out so they were all half price :D They're currently submerged in a washing up bowl.

This is the bit where it gets really spendy as I bought chalk board paint to paint the rims of the new terracotta pots so I can chalk the names of the herbs on. I have always planned to paint the alcoves in the kitchen with chalk board paint which means that now I have it I no longer need the screws that I went in for in the first place :o

I did however save myself upwards of £20 by doing my own ironing in the end so I don't feel too bad and I'm sure my ancient chalk board will sell at a boot sale to recoup some of the money.

The new (to me) sofa was delivered, It's going to take some getting used to. I think I need something else in the room the same colour so it's not the *only* plum coloured thing.

Tonight I plan on starting the process of pickling some shallots, I have had pickling vinegar for ages and was saving it for picking aubergines (if I get any) but I got 4 bags of YS shallots for 9p each the other night :T I love the BRry N0rman pickled onions so I will check the ingredients for some flavour inspiration (and use one of my new bay leaves!)
