Other plans:

Peg washing outside if it doesn't rain (we got quite a bit of much needed rain overnight, and it looks as though it might rain again, will have to see!)
List a couple of new things on ebay, and relist anything that ends today
Find and pack an item that has sold (and been paid for)
More coffee needed I think!0 -
Hi Twins,
Yes I told them I would be paying £1 for the foreseeable future, I'm just hoping they all accept that.
We really need to get an emergency fund together before I even think about increasing the payments.
Good luck with yours, let me know how it goes .Started Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Morning Friday Frugalistas,
Quite a useful day so far on the money-saving front. Haven't felt much like posting, but it does keep me focused, so I should make the effort. Hope all poorly people are feeling better today.
*Did meal plans for next week.
*Wrote shopping list.
*Made loaf in bread machine (crossed 'bread' off shopping list)
*Entered a few competitions.
*Wrote letter of complaint about foreign body found in packet of crisps.
*Paid CC bill.
*Shuffled some funds around for the purposes of budget accuracy.
*Paid 4 x 50ps into sealed pot.
*Checked ebay to see if buyer has paid me yet. Nope!
*Took plants gifted to me by friend down to greenhouse. No gardening today as has so far rained all morning, but it's much needed, the ground is rock hard & won't be any use for good veggie crops if we don't start seeing some serious rain.
*Sowed more mustard & cress seeds on kitchen windowsill.
*Added nice inexpensive item bought yesterday to the Presents Box.
STILL TO DO:
*Ironing. Booooo! One of my worst jobs, so I shall be sorting through it thoroughly & only ironing what really needs it to save some electricity, too.
*Hoovering - usually I do my big once-a-week houseclean on Friday, but I did a few bits of it yesterday so only need to finish off today. Minimal products & washable cloths as usual.
*Pack picnic for low spend day out tomorrow.
*Freezer-dive for dinner tonight. I'm having a baked sweet potato with hummous accompanied by cheese salad. From what mr f has fetched out of the freezer, it looks like he's planning to cook up another Epic Man Stew............great use of leftovers though, as basically fills him up (big bloke, big appetite) for now't!
*Knit sock (for Presents Box, from gifted sock yarn)......want to start the next pair, as I've been given so much lovely yarn), so aiming to get the heel flap done, turn heel, shape foot as a minimum today.
*Free fitness today will be mostly housework based, though am planning to walk to the post-box via a very circuitous route to get today's Fitbit total up a bit. It's certainly motivating to see 'calories burned' as the day progresses, knowing exactly how many I've eaten from my calorie-tracking diary. I can see exactly how those weeks where I say 'But I've been pretty good all week' yet have lost not a single lb on the scales happen! Weigh-day today.....managed to lose another 3 lbs since last time......not sure how, as had time off the calorie counting for Easter, my birthday weekend & BH weekend. Aiming to use fitbit to the max over the next 4 weeks till next weigh-day. Loads of clothes which had got too tight now fitting me, so feels like I've had free additions to my wardrobe. Even got the size 16 skinny jeans on yesterday, they haven't fitted for a while. Still got one quite fitted tunic which I can't wear, so that will be my next target, & will feel like another 'new' garment.
OK, must rush & get bedroom door shut now, as cat has just come in from soggy garden & will soon be racing upstairs to dry himself off on our duvet........
Love to all,

Hi everyone
Just thought I'd pop by to say hi. We got some devastating news yesterday and it's taking a while to process. I've taken today and monday off work and I'm hoping I can get my head around things. May WFH on Monday if I can get my head into it. Own label aspirin is helping my headache from all the tears.
It's quite sad but I reconciled YNAB and that made me feel better - something I can be in control of.
I'm also v close to putting a £4k holiday on a 0% cc to take my mind off things but I know that is not really a problem solver...!
Going to go a dog walk later and our new kitchen flooring will soon be here so looking forward to getting that down.
Take care everyone!0 -

Oh no La e sending virtual hugs your way0 -
Afternoon all :hello: not been on much this week, RL just getting in the way. I've been good though :A today I have:
taken the small bonus OH got paid today out of account and will add to LPDF
called back about why a payment has not been taken out, they said it's not due to next month. have moved to CC :T
Made hummus and healthy tiffin (which is in freezer so we can't eat loads in one go)
made some more hummus but ran out of tahini so have frozen and written on box to add that in case I forget
Meals from stores
lots of steps in already as walked eldest DD to school and then DH, smallest DD and I went to look at a nursery as possible afterschool club as DH has been offered some work :T Money will be a welcome bonus, but we will need to pay a small amount for childcare, so just working out best way all round
Run for free exercise later
Yoga with DH later from YT for free
Check smart meter at every opportunity, it's like a new toy :rotfl: I'm sure the novelty will wear off at some point but I'm super excited at having it installed (we are pretty lean here with our spends, but we have identified electricity as one thing we could save on but before had no way of measuring it)
make cake or something for snacks later, may see if DD wants to make something when she's back from school
Get some compost as potatoes have come through:T so need to top them up
Enjoy your day folks, take care of yourselves.0 -

I came out without my lunch, hope the teens eat it so it doesn't go to waste
Lunch was a sandwich from Mr T with crisps from a multipack washed down with 750ml of fruit smoothie  Obviously that was the most expensive bit but I was craving it and YS fruit has been thin on the ground of late. I have saved my crusts for the pigeons on the way to the station.
I need to withdraw #30 later the pay for the delivery of my new sofa, there has been lots of interest in the old one so I should still be in profit though I am planning on swapping bedrooms with the teens and the old one would fit in what will be their room, I should really ask them before it's gone! (Then I could sell their smaller one instead.)
I bought an on offer fish tank last night so the teens an separate the new baby fish from the bigger, hungrier ones
Tonight I plan to do some ironing, I know, I was shocked tooI am making this more exciting but sorting my wardrobe at the same time for the impending room swap. I am going to cull a lot of clothes, less clothes equals smaller washing mountain is my thinking. I need to stop feeling sentimental about stuff I'm never going to wear again or that I'm keeping *just in case* it fits one day. If I'm ever a size 12 I will be happy to have to buy a whole new wardrobe again!
I still haven't dropped the hermes packages, I was planning to go straight from the YS run but I forgot to take the car :rotfl:
