I've planned a little party for my lo birthday, I've just said to family drop in on the Sunday before his birthday for a little tea party. Need to sort out what we are doing on his actual birthday, we were going to go to marwell zoo but went last week so need to think where else we can go!!
Well done on walking Zoe, that's going to keep you busy now!
We have bottom right coming up, he tends to get a few teeth at once so I'm sure he will have s couple in the next week!!0 -
J is 11 weeks now and bedtimes have improved dramatically. The longest he's slept is 5 hours, but last night it was 2 hour chunks. He was taking a bottle but is now refusing so we're trying lots of different ones and just having a go each day. Very frustrating. He's starting to be a little chatter box and loves smiling and chatting. We've booked a holiday cottage for September so that will be interesting!0

Little man started crawling a couple of days ago. It's great watching him exploring. His hospital appointment for hips is on Monday, but I can't see anything wrong with the way he's moving or standing.
We had two weeks in Scotland, amazing how much he changed just over that time.
Glad we got the new car seat he seems much more comfortable in it.
Have decided we need a larger car though - at least if we have a second. Only just barely managed to fit everything in!
Also want to get a backpack style child carrier so we can do some more adventurous walking, felt a bit restricted with the pram.Mortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)

There's no stopping him now Freddie!! My lo has been crawling since the start of June and is so quick now, there's absolutely no stopping him. I have to have eyes in the back of my head, plus I need to remember to shut the gates even if I'm only going to be 2 seconds (usually just putting something in the bin) as otherwise he appears- he is also very good at steps so I now have to remember to shut the gate whilst put his pushchair up otherwise he crawls out into the street!!!
I know what you mean about needing a bigger car, I really have no idea how people manage with smaller cars, I'm thinking I could do with something with a bigger boot!!
My lo still isn't a great sleeper, we have had a couple of great night's this week, but I suspect tonight isn't going to be a good night, he's very unsettled, I suspect his teeth are hurting him.0 -

Have a look for your local sling library and you can hire one to see how you get on. Also if you buy secondhand ask for the original receipt, there are some fakes out there (ergo 360 seems to be the one most affected). We're still happy with our close caboo, but I think in the autumn we'll be looking for something more structured.0 -
Hi all sorry I haven't been on in ages!
Clara is almost 5 months and doing really well, pretty much sitting up and loves being upright in her highchair and jumperoo. Feeding still going well too bit looking forward to starting weaning and gaining a bit of freedom back when she starts to drop some breast feeds and/or we swap a couple to formula.
Our big problem is 4 month sleep regression!! She was sleeping 7-1/2 then down til 6/6.30 from about 8 weeks but at almost 16 weeks on the dot it went to pot! Its been over a month and longest stretch we've had since is 3 hours - and rarely. Some nights she's up pretty much hourly....so tired!!
We did a week in Norfolk at 3m old - she wad absolutely fine. Even though it was when it was super hot. Having another week away in Sept but not sure where yet.
Sling wise we have a Connecta - it's brilliant and so lightweight, I can fold it up into the change bag. Will get a more rucksack one when she's bigger though as we do a lot of walking too.
In MSE news - we're using reusable nappies. It's a big outlay up front, although I've bought almost all of ours second hand or on sale, but we have birth to potty size so no more buying disposables for Clara or a second baby! That's a slight lie as we use them for long days our just for ease but very very few anyway.
I'm also a regular at NCT and other nearly new/second hand sales. So many clothes in great condition for like next to nothing!
Glad to hear everyone is well :-)Officially Mrs B as of March 2013
TTC since Apr 2015, baby B born March 20170 -
I love it - the crawling - it's do exciting.
Like this morning, I put him down in the nursery while I went to refresh the top and tail bowls. Heard this familiar panting and patting of hands behind me, then saw his little face peeking around the ensuite door. So cute that he's started following us around!
It's great that the Aldi event is on as we need another safety gate. We originally bought two - one each for top and bottom of stairs. But we're one short now as we put one of them on the playroom door as that gives us a safe place to put him downstairs.
He's already trying to work out how to deconstruct them.
His sleep is a bit all over at the moment too. Some nights sleeping through, others waking and not wanting to go back to sleep til a couple hours later.
Last night he didn't eat much before bed time - kept throwing it on the floor, so he had to have a lot more milk than normal.
He's got three teeth now. They didn't start coming til about 10 months old, but now we're getting about one new tooth a week. So we've started brushing.Mortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)

We had an awful night's sleep here. He had been doing really (having previously never been a very good sleeper) but was really unsettled and kept stirring then woke at 12.30 and we couldn't get him to sleep again until 4.30!! After 3 hours of trying I would my husband up and he managed to finally get him to sleep an hour later. I did however notice that we have cut part in f tooth number0

Ooops, pressed send too early and can't edit the post!!
We have cut part of tooth number 10 which explains the bad night!! Im dreading going back to work when he is teething, but at least he is halfway there with them!!
My lo loves standing on the gates, he really tries to climb them!! Are the Aldi gates screw or pressure ones? We need probably 2 more so I'm on the look out for ones on offer at the moment (one for his bedroom door and one for ours as we can't put one at the top of the stairs!)0 -
They're pressure fix, different model to the other ones we got from there last year. £10.99Mortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)
