I've done something I never normally do and used both my healthy extras on my dinner and some syns!
Had a weight watchers wrap for HeB and filled with 3 musclefood meatballs (3 syns) and onions, mushrooms cooked in tomato puree then my HeA cheese and had with med veg.
Struggling now though as I normally keep my HeB for night time hifi bar snackage! Struggling to not raid the cupboard and eat rubbish!
I also had 2 roses during a staff meeting earlier but then found out they were 5.5 syns. Feel like I've wasted them as I want something now! It's definitely all in my head as I'm sure I'm still full from dinner!0 -
Enjoy Take That Lantanna :T:T
Apologies Ruthymust have forgotten the - sign! Changed it for you now.
Topgirl, I've popped you a -1lb loss on, I thought I read that at lunch time when I was catching up.
Hugs Kathryn, you've done so well this year, 38lb loss is excellent so focus on that rather than the last few weeks. A 0.5lb gain is nothing in the grand scheme of things..
Had an old style green day today as we had a lot of cheese by accident
B - yogurt, apple, oats (3)
L - crackerbread (heb) cheese triangles (hea) shredded beetroot
T - ham and leek pasta (heb for ham, hea cheese), spinach
S - crisps (3) banana, Alpen light (3) heroes choc (2)
Hope everyone's ok xxMortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -
Hi, can I join please? I'd like to aim for 14lb by the end of the challenge.
I was in the Jan challenge but lost my way and am now a stone heavier than I was then :shocked:0 -
Today's menu:

WIll have 2 Hifi bars later, have had milk in cups of tea throughout the day.
How does everyone else cook fishcakes?A couple of weeks ago I simply coated with plain flour (synned) and dry fried.A bit
Today, saw a recipe with a different method.I used the breadcrumbs, fried in spray oil both sides, then cooked in oven for 10-15 miutes.Better than fried flour, but not as nice a shallow fried in lots of oil :rotfl:

Not bad at all in the end then Kathryn! As for the work piling up - grrrr! What would you eat that's quick if you weren't doing SW?
Good question and I pondered for ages but I think Lois hit the nail on the head: I'd have a lot more bread! Toast for breakfast or as a snack, processed soups with bread to fill me up more, a simple bacon sandwich without having to worry about speed to go in it, or one of my favourite easy meals: Heinz spaghetti and sausages on toast with cheese on top. I'll have to stop there as I'm making myself hungry! (Feeling OK about it all at the mo, just thought I'd add my 2p to the conversation!)I've gained your back rolls Tete, I'll be passing them on to someone else in a short while hopefully!
I hate them that's the biggest place I notice I have put on weight!
Oh no! Yeah it had got to the point where I could feel my back jiggling as I walked sometimes
Thanks for all the info on moussaka making everyone, esp to Esmy for the egg/yog tip - I avoid lasagnes etc because I hate the taste of Quark so I'll have to give this a try.
I ended up scoffing six Jelly Babies earlier but just looked them up and to my surprise they're only one syn each, so finishing on 15 exactly. That's a relief!
EDIT - OMG just looked up my beloved spaghetti and sausages and they're only 5.5 for the 400g tin! Guess what's going on my shopping list! Thought they would have been loads more than that!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Hello hello (again!)
Since I last posted I have officially finished my degree! That's why I've been so quiet. Off plan for an entire week while suffering with a bad cold and have had head in my books all week. I have literally lived on absolute rubbish. Was going to the Co-op every lunchtime for a week and buying a coronation chicken sandwich, chicken satay dippers, mini pork pies and a chocolate bar- not to mention cramming Soreen mini loafs and Wotsits into my face like they were going out of fashion! I dreaded WI on Monday but I actually punched the air and cheered when I discovered I had managed to maintain! No excuses now- I really want to be 2 stone lighter by the time rugby season restarts in August so back on it 100%.
Had an early physio appointment yesterday and the clinic is quite near a large Tesco so I nipped in and bought some fruit and snack bits- should set me up for the rest of the week.
Tuesday's menu plan:
B: HEXB HiFi Light Bars, decaf coffee with HEXA s/s
L: Smoked salmon slices, wedges and mixed salad (1 syn for spray oil) 2 satsumas, pint of NAS Cherry Vimto
Snack: 2 celery sticks
Tea: Rice, carrots, broccoli, cauli florets, Aldi Lamb Rogan Josh (1 syn) Mini Vienna (3 syns) Pint of NAS Cherry Vimto
Supper: 3 chicken thighs (no skin) Bag of Wotsits (4.5 syns) ham and gherkins. Cup of decaf tea with HEXA s/s
Syns: 9.5

You’re a star, bubbs! Congrats on being SOTW again.
Hello, Starry.eyed.
Woo hoo, Mrs_R, well done – a magnificent achievement.
Happy tiger here – first leg of play off semi final negotiated safely. My daughter and I went up to Dundee for the game, which was most enjoyable. Roll on Friday!Sewing 88/COLOR]Woollies 19Card s 91Reading 37/400 -

Not sure what sort of Special K this is. I don't think they're all HEB.
Thanks Maman, classic example of how I end up creating my own rules and wonder why it's not working out...:rotfl:
So today I am excited to report a loss of 1 3/4lbs, this officially puts me into a healthy weight BMi - albeit at the top end.:T
Today's plan:
2 weetabix:rotfl: with fresh raspberries, strawberries and banana
Jacket potato, lo chilli and tomato salad
Fish (5) and sweet potato wedges & veg
I am a weekend syns saver!
Also for anyone who hasn't discovered them yet Mikado are my new favourite thing, they are only half a syn each and two are perfect for a low syn, chocolate treat.
Have a great day everyone x0 -
Thank you everyone for your support. It is lovely to know that I have such lovely supportive SW friends both here, and at group.
Welcome StarryEyed. Draw a line under what has happened since January, you are back on plan now, and that's what's important.
Well done Mrs Ryan on completing your degree. I know both my dissertations were completed with the help of large quantities of cake, so maintaining is brilliant.
Good loss Mad With Money, and woohoo on the healthy BMI.
Esmy, I am so going to try your yogurt and egg sauce, because I love lasagne. When I did WW I used to use watered down with skimmed milk, but that isn't as good on SW as it was on WW, and the egg will def make it richer.
Saver-upper, for fish cakes I make up some Smash, but a little on the dry side, then stir in either a drain can of tuna or salmon and some chopped chives. If it's a bit wet I stir in some oats. Then I mould them into shape with my burger press and put them on a frylight sprayed baking tray, and bake them in the oven until they start to brown.
Not a traditional fish cake, but my family like them.Zebras rock0
