:T Wow! more losers since I posted and looking at the chart that's a great start to the challenge. 4 stone+ and 17% in just two weeks. Well done all.:)

Have a great time this evening and a great birthday when it comes. Then you can put your mind to a slim new year.:A

Yesterday was another day that started off so well, then went hideously wrong once I got home from work :(

Why do you think that happened kathrynha? Is it tough days at work? Obviously you're trying to claw back today but if you keep all 15 syns for the evening and try to get in some SW friendly snacks it might help. Fresh start after WI tonight.:)
The only 'Against' argument I can think of is all the time it takes to plan and prep meals. The counter-argument is of course that you can batch cook and have 'ready meals' in the freezer, and how much prep does a tuna salad really need? Pure laziness really!
You're right that having ready meals helps. I partly do it to make sure I don't waste food so I have at least one HM ready meal on the week's plan. If I eat out unexpectedly then I can roll 'fresh' meals over and leave the ready meal in the freezer. But you can have shop bought low syn ready meals as well. There are loads of ready to cook chicken and fish things that are SW friendly. What would you eat that's quick if you weren't doing SW?

I've often made moussaka with beef mince and it's just as good denise. I'm reading that you're not having a cheesy topping but making it more like a hotpot. I remember having moussaka in Greece and they put potatoes in the bottom so that they soaked up all the juices. It was yum! Do you prep the aubergines (salting? frying?) or slice and let them cook in the juices?

I'm out dancing again tonight so won't be tempted to snack during the evening. I'm still feeling a bit large but my jeans fitted well enough when I went out yesterday so can't be too far out of range.

Does anyone know how long you can go without WI before losing access to the website? I feel I should go to WI soon but I'd like to feel a bit thinner first.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAs grapefruit, HEB porage with HEA milk
L: crustless quiche with beetroot and jalapenos
D: chicken stir fry with loads of Speed and noodles
Syns: squirt of syrup on porage and tbsp. of honey in stir fry sauce (probably 4/5 syns max in total).

    So many answers to why.

Work, voluntary work and family stuff are all on top of me at the moment.
I'm stressed, I'm tired, I'm hormonal, I'm anaemic, and all of them are working together in a vicious circle. Not sleeping because I'm stressed, tired because I'm not sleeping and anaemic, hormones are just making everything worse, and my answer to that is to comfort eat, and then I feel even worse.

I need to plan, and I need to stick to it. One problem is only being able to fit in shopping when I am hungry on the way home from work. Another is not having time to prepare food that would help keep me on plan, so I pick quicker options that aren't as healthy.

Sorry, went into a bit of a moan about stuff :(

No problem kathrynha. Hopefully it helps to itemise all the reasons.

Could you not get some help with the shopping? Is your DH to be trusted?;) or what about online shopping?

Perhaps with the lighter evenings you could go out for a walk even if it's just round the block. It's good for clearing your head and keeps you from snacking. Not that snacking is necessarily a problem (having eaten half a quiche last night when I wasn't even hungry:o).

    Morning all

Thanks for the chart Shala and well done for SOTW (again) Bubbs. :j

I'd agree with that one Tete, especially in the early days of doing SW. My eating habits have changed since doing SW - like most (non SW) people I used to have toast or cereals for breakfast and a sandwich for lunch. Then meal planning was a balancing act with only 1 HEB I could only have my usual breakfast or lunch, not both. Nowadays I generally have fruit and yogurt for breakfast so I can save the HEB for lunch.

My access to the website has ended now, so it lasted 3 weeks, however you might get longer as a target member...? It may be down to the consultant and how efficient they are too.

I put my (used) SW starter pack on ebay this morning and it's sold already! :rotfl: I also put the curry club book on and have 3 people watching it.

Well done to all the losers, there are some fantastic losses coming through. :T

    Have a good day.

DH is definitely not to be trusted with the shopping, and I have tried online shopping a few times with different supermarkets, and had issues with all. Short sell by dates, lean mince replaced with full fat, badly bruised fruit and mouldy veg, etc, so I don't dare try it again. Also I'm an Aldi shopper.
I could however insert in an afternoon snack at work on shopping day.

I really wish I had an evening with enough free time to go out for a walk, but yesterday I was busy solid from walking in the door till bedtime. Had to squeeze ingoing to the toilet, whilst my 11 year old stirred dinner on the stove, and kept an eye on a friends kid I was looking after in an emergency.

Did I report my loss last week?

    If not, can I please?

So busy this week, it's ridiculous.

Trying to make good choices and mostly winning. Hoping for a couple off as we're at the races Friday and an all you can drink prosecco brunch on Saturday, so I need a cushion :o

Agree you should start afresh after WI but try and eat sensibly beforehand.
You're right that having ready meals helps. I partly do it to make sure I don't waste food so I have at least one HM ready meal on the week's plan. I always keep HM ready meals in the freezer.
There's all sorts in there at the moment - chilli, curry, lamb tagine; oxtail stew
    . Definitely makes life easier.

I've often made moussaka with beef mince and it's just as good denise. I'm reading that you're not having a cheesy topping but making it more like a hotpot. Do you prep the aubergines (salting? frying?) or slice and let them cook in the juices?

Yes I make it a bit like a hotpot, without the cheesy topping (don't want to use the syns, LOL). Like the idea of putting potatoes at the bottom as well, will do that. I don't prep the aubergine at all, just cut off the top and base and then slice lenthways. I also do the same with the courgettes. Then layer with mince mix between layers. Once prepared I spray with Frylight and then cook in the oven for about 50 minutes or so until golden. Planning to serve with some brocolli. It'll definitely be a very speedy dinner!

I'm out dancing again tonight so won't be tempted to snack during the evening. I'm still feeling a bit large but my jeans fitted well enough when I went out yesterday so can't be too far out of range.

I think it's 6 weeks before you lose access to the website but don't quote me on it :rotfl:.

Are they jarred jalapenos you use or fresh? Whichever enjoy today's food.

ShalaThanks for the chart. What a great start to the challenge! And Bubbs you're on a roll! Well done on SOTW.

Joedenise and Maman I top moussaka with an egg beaten into 0% fat greek yoghurt, salt and pepper, no cheese so no syns! . I'm sure I've seen a SW lasagne recipe that uses the same topping and I've made a veggie lasagne for tonight with just a sprinkle of cheese on top of the yoghurt sauce - all free apart from the cheese.

I've had a good NSV today, trying on holiday clothes to find that I've loads that are too big! (I don't plan to buy anything else as I have got enough that fits for a weeks holiday)I'm now in a quandary - do I get rid or keep them? Suppose I'm not confident that I'll stay at this size or, dare I say it, one size smaller.....
