Keeping syns low today as my sister is taking DH and me out for a meal Tuesday lunchtime to an Indian restaurant (a posh one not a takeaway! - they don't even do a chicken dhansak which is what I usually have!)

    Today's plan:

    B - Fry up
L - jacket potato; tuna mayo (1 syn for LTL mayo); salad
D - lamb shank (1.5 syns); roast potatoes; roasted veg; cabbage

Planning on doing extra roasted veg to use with some couscous for lunch tomorrow.

HEA - milk as usual in teas
HEB - not sure whether I'll have one today but if peckish this evening then either some toast or Ryvita with a Laughing Cow (1-2 syns)

Be kind to yourself and eat the things you like.

    :T:T:T

Such a good SW motto. This is why I stopped forcing myself to eat things like berries. Now I need to force myself to stop eating other things I like, like chocolate, crisps, and cake, and I'll be grand.

I ate out twice yesterday. For dinner I was pretty sensible and had a steak, mushroom and onion wrap with salad, but the less said about tea the better.

I did do my ten mile training run in the morning though, and at 9.5 miles I tripped over a tree root and went down like a sack of the proverbial. Got a few bruises and grazes but worst of all I've woken up aching all over from the impact, particularly the back of my neck which obviously worked hard to keep my face from hitting the pavement, so I'm feeling a bit sorry for myself today :(

    Today's plan is:
L - Bacon sandwich on WM bread with mushrooms and butter
D - Chicken, potatoes and veg with gravy (a Sunday dinner basically)
    HEA - Milk
    HEB - Bread
Syns - Sugar (4), butter (2), gravy (1), Yorkshire pud if I have any in the freezer (2) = 9

Now off to plan the week. I must must must do some shopping today!!!

Not sure if it was me that recommended the fried onions but I'm not surprised they went well with breakfast. When I was in NYC I had gorgeous home fries at a diner for breakfast. Basically these are potatoes fried up with onions. Yummy with bacon and eggs.:)

I'm having a similar day to you denise. although I had boiled eggs for breakfast. Lamb shanks all prepped ready to go in the oven when I get home and now off to the pub for my JP.:)

I'm out Tuesday too but I'm pretty sure the pub does new potatoes which I can have with steak and salad.

    Have a good day all.:)

All change here! Got a text this morning inviting us out for dinner tonight (to celebrate a friend's birthday which was last week, and my birthday which is this week). Couldn't say no - and didn't want to anyway! :rotfl:

    So...

Whipped the granola out of breakfast this morning, so just had banana and yoghurt, and have had lunch as planned. So still have both my HExs, in case they should crop up somewhere in tonight's meal - friend's hubby is cooking so have no idea what is on the menu...he is an excellent chef, but not terribly SW friendly :o, and a lot of my syns - I tend to use them weekly now, which I find works, and have only had 17 since Thursday, so I am in an OK place there...

Will try and be sensible (I'll be driving so no wine syns!), and see what happens. :p Have a great afternoon, everyone! ;)

No wine syns will be a great help Piglet!

It'll be the same for me Tuesday as I'm driving to my sisters although she's driving us all to the restaurant.

    Good afternoon guys!

I'm back! After eating everything in sight including multiple takeaways over the past few weeks, I'm feeling frumpy and gross so it's time to get back on the sw wagon!

I've not had chance to read through the thread but I'm on nights tonight so I'll give it a good read then :)

I hope you're all doing well!

Good to see you back rj. Have you gained much? Good that you're drawing that line and getting back on track.:)

Same with you tweets. It's great that you go to see your mum on a Sunday ( a bit like tete visiting her gran) but it's hard when family don't get that you're trying to eat healthily. Hope that you can claw it back over the week starting with tonight's curry.:)

Lunch was better than expected. I had my JP with beans and ordered a 99p side salad plus the JP came with garnish. So far more speed than I thought although a small amount of mayo. Bonus was we drew 0-0 including saving a penalty although all the commentators seemed to be rooting for Liverpool.:(

The lamb shanks are in the oven although they're enormous and not sure we'll be hungry enough to eat them. If not we'll probably share one and I'll eat the other cold or keep the whole meal until another day. I count my recipe as free denise as there's almost no fat on the shanks and I braise them on a bed of veg (leeks, parsnips and carrots) with stock, thyme and Worcestershire sauce.
