Thanks, I may eventually get my head around it all..

For breakfast/dinner, I thought I would be posh so did chopped tomatoes with black pepper and some chickpeas (no idea what which category these fit into!) and dropped a egg in to poach it..... it did not work! but hey ho I ate it......... needs must!

I weighed myself this morning, I am significantly over what I thought I would be weight wise... no wonder my really fat clothes no longer fit.......:p:p:p ......:(:(:(

I think it will take me a week to get to know the ins and outs... apologies until then!) from the looks of everyone's posts, planning ahead appears to be the secret.... I will have to figure out weekly list and stick to it for a while.... then tweak!

Any suggests for food on the go will be greatly appreciated (I work long hours and tend to live in my car) or I may end up looking like a bag of carrot sticks! lol

I read a week before i joined and asked questions then, still ask questions now:D
I usually take a salad with chicke/tuna/egss or ham, i eat mine in the car too, cool bag with ice block is the way to go.You could have a sandwich if you use HEXB as bread but wholemeal from a SMALL loaf, fruitor boiled eggs, homemade soup in a flask although thats more for winter, pasta salad, hope that gives you some ideas

Do you go to Group? or are you doing SW at home on your own using the thread as your support?

Do you have up to date books as that's where you'll find all the necessary information. But to help with what you've had today:

Tomatoes are Speed - as are most fruit and veg - not sure but think there is a list near the beginning of the thread with a list of those that aren't.

Chickpeas are Protein as are eggs.

To make it a "good" meal you need to have at least 1/3 Speed food to protein; so as long as at least 1/3 of your plate was tomatoes then it was a good SW EE meal.

If your plate was at least 50% tomatoes then it would be an EESP meal.

As you say the best course of action is to plan your meals in advance so that you have enough Speed food over the day. It's not always easy to get 1/3 at every meal but at least try to average it out over the day.

Also don't forget to have your HEA and HEB each day plus some syns. You should have at least 5 a day up to 15. Some of us on here don't actually follow the plan exactly as it should be in that we have 105 syns over the week but best not to do that until you have got your head around the whole plan.

    Good luck.

    Denise
