Evening everybody!
Apologies for being A.W.O.L yesterday. Had a busy one. Car still on going but hope to get sorted by next week. Did my first big food shop - Tresco and health food store. Continuing my healthy eating and someone even commented today that I'd lost weight! (it was probably the haircut haha).
Pippy1972 - I am doing the 365 day penny challenge - it's good! Look at my signature - I'm nearly at £300! (I did pay off December and half of November early mind).
Calling - Thank you! I will do a date for sure. Hopefully with the same person but you never know! Keep on it too... It was good to see how things felt around your ex. At least you can move him firmly into the friend category now, and keep that door open for someone else.
Today I am grateful for:- Lovely feedback from a client at work
- People still putting themselves out for me
- Meeting a lovely couple and having a chance to put them at ease
Exercised at the gym yesterday, so a day off this evening. Planning to do a walk tomorrow. Having no car has really thrown me off balance... It's like I can't relax or settle into my financial routine until I know what's going to need spending/doing. Definitely a lesson in patience too. Dealing with unreliable mechanics is a test for sure!!!
Anyway, I'm having a lovely relaxing evening - I hope you all are too x⭐ DEBT FREE : 18/02/2025 ⭐

Was hoping for a NSD but unfortunately I had to buy nappies and hayfever tablets so spends for the month are up to £59.46/£310.
Went to sensory class (walked there) with the little one this afternoon, though he refused to take part in the activities and spent the whole time running from one wall to another! Money well spent….
I’d purchased an electronic bus ticket on Tuesday and today I went onto my online banking and discovered they’d charged me twice. Promptly got on the phone and I should be receiving a refund in the next 3 to 5 days.
Was also unhappy with my bank as they’d charged me £16 back in March for an unarranged overdraft, although it was their fault I’d gone into it in the first place! Phoned them up and managed to get that back so I took the opportunity to pay £10 off my 2018 holiday and £6 off my credit card.
Have just finished watching the Panorama programme on Madeleine McCann, sadly I don’t think we’ll ever find out what went on there.
Had the washing machine on this evening too and the clothes are all prepped to be hung out for drying tomorrow.VSPC 2019 #10 - £168.80/£100 VSPC 2020 #4 - £262.03/£200 VSPC 2021 #9 - £242.88/£200 VSPC 2022 #3 - £188.03/£200 VSPC 2023 #7 - £0/£2000 -
Not doing so well with the NSDs.... Had to buy cat food today and there are a couple of bits that I've just found I need to get tomorrow... Need to be more organised or I'll never meet my target of 16. Nobody ever tells me when they have used /nearly used the last of something is the main problem.
Have hung washing out on an airer though as the weather is still rubbish. Regrettably I haven't done any exercise today though as I ran out of time. I really felt like I ought to have after a conversation I had at work today. I discovered a colleague is a trained hypnotherapist and said 'oh you might be able to help me with something'. I know, she said, you want to lose weight!... No I said, it's not that. Oh, you want to stop snacking!! No, it's not that either!! I'd like to lose a couple of pounds, but I'm only a size 10! - maybe I ought to aim for more exercise though
Today I'm grateful that it's nearly the end of the week!
Still on 1 NSD....0 -
Evening all,
SFD number 2 today. Yesterday wasn't due to buying SW bars. Today was as the dentist appointment was free :j I pay a monthly fee for appointments and this one shouldn't have been covered by that but as I hadn't had the appointment I should have had, they said this one could count instead. Usually places don't let you swap things like that so I was delighted.

Yesterday I was grateful for a sunny day, a good gym workout, lots of ys goodies (obviously hit the supermarket at just the right time
), catch up TV and getting cheap avocados at A!di last time I was there so I had chicken, bacon and avocado salad for tea last night.
Just away to head into work. Hope everyone has a good day, back later.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.7.25 - £106,653.66

Yesterday I was grateful for the lovely sunny weather and walk to the polling station. Went twice - once to vote with C and once to keep my son company. Small spend. Needed two 18th birthday cards (from the Card Factory) and picked up some YS chicken. Beautiful day again so walking in to town to have our weekly treat.
Have a good day.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
What a lovely day again! Very grateful for this as little man threw up every hour between 7.30pm to 3.30am. Then again at 9am
So my washing pile is humungous! I've had the washing machine on all day. Luckily my mum came round and cleaned my vomit splattered kitchen while I sorted little man out. She's also taking washing to her house to hang out as my line is full. My dad's watched the dog all day so he could have some nice, long walks and more attention than he would have had here. Little man's had a bit of toast and banana and not thrown up since and been asleep for nearly 2 hours.
Not a NSD as we ordered the stones for our garden today. Plus a tiny top up shop. Tomorrow and Saturday are planned NSDs though.
Have done a few surveys and got a £10 amazon voucher and halfway to another. We need a new cot mattress for bubs so hoping to have at least £20 towards this by end of this month.
I love card factory, really nice cards and so much less than I used to pay.
Today I am grateful for
Little man stopped puking ( fingers crossed!)
Good drying weather

:rotfl:I have no idea what you are talking about. :rotfl:
I can never understand the point of putting the toilet roll tube NEXT to the bathroom bin, or even ON TOP of the lid of the bin. Mr 'Nobody' does it in our house too.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!
