Spent money today. Set the alarm for 9am (was still awake after 5am). Had a taxi to the doctor's (have failed to make an appointment or order repeat prescription). Favourite doctor was fully booked so I was put on the list for the nasty doctor. However a confusing message came up on the board and I saw the new (still in training) doctor.
He was really good. Not going to increase my medication for the moment but wants me to go back in 2 weeks and will do so then if needed. I knew last month was a struggle - my stress/ anxiety score has gone up to 20 from 11 last month and between 15 and 12 for some months (not sleeping/ under and over eating/ no energy or enthusiam/ lack of concentration etc).
He thinks I am trying to reach too many targets at once just on the getting away from the sharp end of depression so for this month my main targets will be increasing my walking and eating properly plus monitoring my spending and my daily gratitudes. Plus being awake more in the day time and sleeping at night. I will try not to fret about anything else although I am getting a bit angry which might be useful for attacking the housework.
I had PTSD for 2 years following an accident DS3 and I were involved in when he was 6 months old. When I was starting to come out of it but still not up to much I would take a lump hammer outside and attack the badly patched concrete in the back yard - very therapeutic.
I could have gone home and might have had an hour's rest before going to crafts but caught the bus back to the bus station and went to Icyland (think I spent £39.99). Bought a sandwich on the walk back but was aching when I got home (must switch back to wearing my bag on the left, ended up holding it away from my replaced hip). Should have eaten my sandwich and gone straight to crafts (only ate a banana in the doctor's waiting room) but set the alarm for food delivery and fell asleep.
Still tired but more calm. Going to sleep and sew mum's curtains from now until midday tomorrow (usual meeting has been put back to 12.30pm from 11am).
Today I am grateful for my new glasses. They are absolutely wonderful. My old ones were getting loose and not in the right place on my face and I was probably not looking through the right bits (varifocal) plus had scratched them when sewing. New varifocals are great and I love my new reading glasses (for reading and sewing but the rest of the world is in soft focus). They are purple (blackcurranty) and I really don't do purple but I love them. Also grateful for sandwich places (have ordered more sandwich meat and bread) for allowing me to do as much as I did today - I did look in the (W)RVS shop but it was full and I didn't have time for one of their lovely baked potatoes. Very grateful for lovely doctors who listen and discuss your problems properly (filled in a survey sheet for him). I have also signed up to the online services so that If I don't sort my sleeping pattern, I can at least make appointments and order repeat prescriptions online. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -

mothernerd - you just reminded me that I added a declutter challenge to last months thread and didn't report in at the end of the month.
I am also still decluttering - I have 2 large carrier bags and a huge bin bag to go to charity.
I will try to take these today.
The bin bag is not really ours - DH brought all the unwanted lost property from work (it was supposed to go in a clothing bank but all full in our town) so he brought them home. We have found a charity to take all the unwanted sports kit (1 huge box) and the rest I sorted with lots needing to go to charity. I managed to replace my dog walking hoody with one from the lost property - my one is slightly on the small side do this will be donated.
Apple - glad to see you have found Card Factory. I love it when I am organised to buy from there. Last weekend I needed a card for my mum and had to go to a supermarket - it cost £2 and all I could think was that in Card Factory it would have been 79p!!!
Yesterday was a spend day as did my monthly shop at Lidl and Tesco.
Then made mercy dash to f-I-l who's card had been declined and his online shopping had not come. Not sure what is wrong with bank as plenty of money (I got him to check before I called) and had to pay on my debit card (he gave me the money but the amount I spent yesterday was a bit )
Hoping today will be a NSD - home visits for work so must take drinks otherwise I will buy one when I have plenty at home.0 -
Yesterday was NSD 2/16 yay!
Today will not be as I have to go to ..... dun dun dahhhhh!! THE DENTIST - I need a filling and have been waiting since the beginning of Feb for them to have an appt time when they do xrays. So that will be spendy - I have to pay as I am voluntarily unemployed (SAHM) and therefore a financial dependent on DH (married).
Ho hum, might be nice to be without ouches though.
AND... I am out of coffee. So that is my reward for going to the dentist - coffee shopping.
Dentist appt is 9am, so hopefully it will all be over nice and early and I really fancy cleaning the house today (pervert that I am), as it really needs it.
Aching from the Body Pump yesterday.
Grateful for .... getting referred to the gym by doctor for weight loss. Any classes( ~except Insanity) and swimming and gym use for £20 a month. Loving it. Not lost any weight yet though.
Not needing sleep - bed at 11.30 up at 5am wide awake.
Knowing more about DIY than I did before.
Live and learn (then hit it with a hammer)
Have a lovely day to you all.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Morning everyone - waving my lightsaber at you.
Claiming a SFD for yesterday so 2/20
Exercise bit poor, fluid keeps swelling up under knee so only got 10241 steps done.
My freezer is looking very sparse as are my cupboards. Sure I will not starve to death however. Just think I will paying more electric for a near empty freezer?
Booked a day off holiday tomorrow. Plan is to get my garden furniture painted, bring out the summer wardrobe and get essential food items in and hopefully enjoy the sun.
Will sort out my forgotten password so I can post on here at home. OOPsLBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/220 -

Really tried to go to sleep last night, without success. Have got through the day and hope to sleep well tonight.
Sewing mum's curtains this morning - they are not right. I need to have a large flat surface to work on (we cut them out on her floor but result is not great and that is what caused today's problems). Hoping I can persuade DS3 to help me manoeuvre my large farmhouse table top onto the kitchen table but will wait until weekend.
Local history was good. Spent £1 on bs hop (too tired to walk in a straight line) and £1 for 2 cans of diet coke (I took water with me). Came home and collected as many decorating tools/ materials that might be useful at mum's. Had a taxi there and back (cost covered by mum).
I have been signed up for wheelchair pushing again tomorrow. She had an eye appointment but the nurse visited her this morning and has added an x-ray appointment (luckily the rooms are adjacent). I have an appointment in town which I may or not make so will have to call in or drop off a note first thing to explain that I may be late. After that I am going to hibernate for the rest of the weekend.
Today I am grateful for being able to sit on stairs (no longer need the naughty chaise longue, I can manage the naughty step), for my poor overworked alarm clock (set it 4 times in one day) and for hot baths which help a lot at times of no sleep. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
Managed a NSD today.
Was starving when I left work and the temptation to buy some chocolate was outweighed by the need to have a NSD as next week is going to be spendy.
Today I am grateful for:
1. Suffragists and Suffragettes who campaigned to get women the right to vote
2. My daughter being a strong and independent young woman (she is having teenage problems with her group of friends but she is handling it well and not being a sheep)
3. A nice clean bed (just changed bedlinen, can't wait to get in)0
