Reporting in a NSD for today.
Decided that this month I would go back to online food shopping - just spent 50mins doing it with sains only to see the cost creeping up over £200 when I was not even half way through the list and have now decided that I will go to Lidl after work tomorrow and do a monthly shop there with a small amount from Tesco for stuff they don't stock.
Am I just tight or is Sains just so expensive?
Today I am grateful for:
Missing the rain shower
My neighbour who kindly took DD to school after she overslept, I got a call from the school about her being absent and neighbour managed to rouse her at 10am!! (She is 14 and gets herself to school, DH and I leave just after 7am)
Doing my good deed - returned a birth cert to someone after I found it in the street on Fri (managed to track parents down via facebook and reunited today)0 -
Happy belated Anniversary F0xh0les.
Another NSD.2 now:j
BT kindly sent me a new tv box, because they were upgrading the system. Now,I have never installed one of these before. My little mind thought it would be easy. NO.
After a few phone calls from a lady in a far away land the engineer is booked for tomorrow. She quoted me £129!!!!! After saying I'd go to sky,she waived the charge. Should hope so too.
Lovely night with no telly, just the radio on in the backgound.:D
Hoping for another nsd tomorrow.

Made it at last. Budgets are Food £100 (but need to monitor carefully), Travel £10 (down from 20) and extras £20 (down from 30).
Yesterday I set the alarm for 7.30am as I was taking mum for a CT scan appointment. Taxi picked me up (with 2 litre water, cups, wraps and emergency banana) just before 9am. Mum wasn't great - I had to put her socks and 'shoes' on (velcro slippers) but everything went fine. Home be 12.30pm, sewing and films in the afternoon then fell asleep about 5pm and more or less slept through in 3 hour chunks until noon today.
Gratitudes for yesterday weather staying nice enough to get my washing dry and for me being able to get it in before it rained, for pleasant taxi drivers who both wanted to charge less than was on the meter and for helpful staff and friendly fellow patients.
Today I have nagging back ache from wheeling mum about in a wheelchair so have mostly been taking it easy. Just had a run round filling up the bins including a quick skim of the yard for old seed trays and a paint tray + various bits. 25 declutter points - did okay last month but fell short of my target so going to continue.
Today I am grateful for managing not to buy anything in the last 2 days, for hot baths (helped with the back) and having a nearly clean bathroom - have to go back and mop.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
Evening everyone :hello:
Did a top up shop today and booked a ticket to see Guardians of the Galaxy 2 on Saturday so total spends for this month so far are £50.76/£310.
Received £3.35 in survey payouts today, have paid that off the credit card.
We had nice weather again today so went for another walk, a shorter one than yesterday though, a mere 2.5 miles.
Finished reading a library book earlier today and started a new one on my kindle, it’s been ages since I read on that.
F0xh0les Happy Belated Anniversary, sounds like you enjoyed your lie in
P.S. Today I am grateful for: days when my cooking goes right (not often!), kind gestures (seen a young man helping an elderly lady cross a busy main road) and friends who make the effort to message you even though you're terrible at keeping in touch.VSPC 2019 #10 - £168.80/£100 VSPC 2020 #4 - £262.03/£200 VSPC 2021 #9 - £242.88/£200 VSPC 2022 #3 - £188.03/£200 VSPC 2023 #7 - £0/£2000 -

Went shopping today (£21.36 at Aldi) and gave the new garden fence it's 2nd coat of paint whilst the weather's so nice and little man was at nursery. My mum's having him for a couple of hours tomorrow whilst I do some more gardening. If I can find the right paint in the loft will be doing the recently built garden wall and little brick shed thing. If not I'll just get the weeding done on the next little area in the garden.1 debt vs 100 days -

NSD 1. And actually came out up - friend paid me back for item I'd ordered on my card. I need to bank the cash or it will get frittered.
I decided I am going to do the 'Artists Way' course I did an intro to last week. It's only 12 weeks and a few people said they'd join if we did a group thing. I would never stick with it on my own, but if I am accountable that's another story.
Gratitudes today - a great friend pushing me to move outside my comfort zone and try this course, my boss for taking a chance on giving me a job (I moan about the stress a lot, but it's hugely boosted my confidence). Also, should be 2 extra days pay this month as I'm in extra hours.Goals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0 -

Hi Am I too late to clamber aboard this month Misstara ?
Setting my SFD's for 20 - broke and need to eat up the rubbish that is in my freezer
My targets for the year to clear debts was 3850 now 2475 - not going down as quickly as planned but still on track.
Other target - lose weight and get fitter-not going to well, not increased weight however. Going to aim for 12k steps a day this month - got up to 10k a day however living on a hill flights of stairs registering I do is amazing but takes it toll on my back.
Stretch target - can't increase my payments this month as unfortunately ran up my credit card use to for bits/bobs around house - which I clear each month and need to clear that first.
May 1st - Not great start bit hungover, so treated myself to a burger and a drink for 6 pounds. Did bit of garden and house shopping. 12080 steps and lots of gardening
May 2nd - SFD in the bag 10681 steps, had a sociable night chatting to neighbours, popped to see an friend and another then called to see me.
I have a problem got Seagull starting to make a nest on roof. Try and see in nearby roofer will remove material put there already - extra cost not budgeted for. Can't seem to add to EF at moment.
Abundant make sure you get out on that date ;-) I ended up meeting ex boyfriend for lunch Sunday. He wanted to try new place opened up near me, yummy food he paid and had a good laugh. Still not for me.
Trying for a SFD today. Catch up later.LBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/220
