I cannot believe that anyone would publicly expose themselves as a self seeking, cheater which is how we read your posts. So please TightRob, put us out of our misery. Is it rude to ask exactly what you WILL be contributing to the household expenses Rob? you make no mention of what you are putting into the combined kitty only what you propose to take out and how it will be done. Living with someone should really be a 50-50 put in from both of you. How about a suggestion that instead of doing all this by stealth you actually sit down and talk to your girlfriend and explain how you'd like to make changes to save money and the reasons why you need to? it might be a whole lot easier than all the 'food stealth'!

I know what my worse triggers are. Being sad plus having a drink.
It was a bad day at work today so I have driven out to the pub to meet friends and am using the car as an excuse not to drink. The reality is I just don't feel stable enough to have a drink as I will get home and gamble.
