hope this helps my aerial is at least 19 years old. When i connected my freeview box i was receiving all signals.
Try ur aerial first before having a new one fitted. If you do get a wqeak signal a signal booster helpsProblem with having access to internet is that i get asked by many to solve their problems
Well at least i learn something on the way

Prob not as they have been talking about doing it for a while, but obviously decided to get it going with BB and get more viewers for E4.Sometimes i surprise myself by being right.0

no, they intended to take it free from the beginning, but they wanted to do it at a time when it would be of maximum benefit (money)
and it will remain part of the freeview package.Where the !!!! has the Shrug gone!

Agree with Wazza on this one - try the box first with your existing aerial. I've bought loads of boxes over the past 3 years - two for myself, parents, inlaws, brothers etc
I've not known one case where a new aerial has been required, I've even successfully used a set-top aerial. In other words, the postcode checker on the freeview website needs to be taken with a fairly hefty pinch of salt.
Also, a note on signal boosters - they can be useful in some situations i.e. where there is a genuinely poor signal. But, if the aerial just isn't picking up the correct signal in the first place, there's nothing to amplify.Ah! Good old trusty beer... I hope you never change.0
