Exactly the same for me in East Midlands region using 3700kw on E7.
No new tariff as yet from PS despite reduced Price Cap. They remain just about cheapest supplier for both Dual Fuel and Electricity only for me.0 -
Yes, That's what I'm being offered in Yorkshire now that I have moved Tariff to "Baseline Elec 2020 Version 2".It's twice that I asked them to move to the cheapest Tariff and twice they responded
" Hope this email finds you well.
The tariff you are on is the cheapest tariff we have available and there is no other tariff cheaper than what you are on.
I hope this helps,
Thanks,
Shannon.
Thanks
The Powershop CrewSo I wrote back and challenged them:
"Hi Shannon,I am somewhat bemused and concerned in your response to my request, specifically your statement "The tariff you are on is the cheapest tariff we have available and there is no other tariff cheaper than what you are on."
which has a tariff of £0.1281 per Kwh and a daily charge of £0.22523.
My current tariff is "Top Shopper 2019 (Version 3)"
Which has a tariff of £0.1389 per Kwh and a daily charge of £0.2093
The spreadsheet below shows that my annual consumption of approx 10,000 kWh per annum, gives a saving of £132 on the "Powershop Pro (2020 Issue 3)" tariff compared with my current "Top Shopper 2019 (Version 3) " tariff.
Please can you explain the logic behind your statement"According to your website, today, the current tariff that is available is "Powershop Pro (2020 Issue 3)"1 -
Let's try that again:Hi Shannon,
I am somewhat bemused and concerned in your response to my request, specifically your statement "The tariff you are on is the cheapest tariff we have available and there is no other tariff cheaper than what you are on."
According to your website, today, the current tariff that is available is "Powershop Pro (2020 Issue 3)"which has a tariff of £0.1281 per Kwh and a daily charge of £0.22523.

Please can you explain the logic behind your statement
and without question they transferred me.
I am now chasing them to find out when they responded to my first request to move to a cheaper tariff.....
and once confirmed I will pursue them for a refund backdated to my first request.
The moral being: Don't trust them (PS Support) to be honest and truthful in any responses to your support questions!
Sad, but true, however as A Yorkshireman, "A penny is a penny"!1 -
I reckon PS owe you around half of the £132 difference between the tariffs. Substantially more than a penny and worth using MSE Resolver tool to claim YOUR money due. They’ve already lost at least one claim to the energy ombudsman recently according to a post last month.0
