Sounds like a good plan to take the extra from the business. Having the help with the cleaning will help a lot.

Sorry nightmare client is still being a nightmare!

  • It gets better and better. Went into client, no manager. He called around half ten to say he will be off sick. Not sure for how long. Yesterday was spent doing 3 meetings that were pre arranged plus trying to move a funder's audit visit from today. He was supposed to have tried for deferral last week but clearly hadn't. I worked with them until 7 last night, came home got a scrummy dinner of left overs from Sunday than started into dealing with another client. I am tired.
DD and DD had gone visiting yesterday evening so still haven't had her curled up with me yet. I can't wait. She seems so subdued, tired and old.

Spends yesterday were £1 for a lunch at the client. Today bread will be needed so a trip to Asda on way home will be required. I will need to go to the client late this evening. Life would be a lot easier if they had wifi instead of me having to clear emails when at home or on my phone.

    Today I am grateful for
The imminent resolution of one matter
    A comfy bed
    Potato bread for breakfast

  • I'm completely floundering. I have too much on and I'm tired. I have my course the week after next and I'm terrified that my head is so pickled that I won't be able to apply myself.
Worked in the nightmare all day yesterday. Got £5 of bits and pieces along with fish and chips yesterday on way home. Then had my niece over as I'd agreed to help her with her cv. That carried me thru until 10.30 so it was close to midnight before I got some sleep. Today I have a meeting at 7.30 so it'll be a long one.
Also, a client cancelled a day's work booked for next week. I can use the time at the nightmare but will earn £570 less for the day. I'm also worried why it was cancelled as i generally get something from them once a quarter at really good rates.
Still haven't managed dog snuggle time, my niece snaffled her yesterday while she was over. She's an in demand doggie as she has such a lovely nature.

Right, need to find something to wear and get a wiggle on. Also need to check emails as I have no wifi in the client and my phone is limited.

    Today I am grateful for
A slight lie in this morning, every little helps
An old dog still being able to enjoy life

  • Client cancelled due to lack of demand which makes sense to me. It's a bank holiday week when schools are restarting so people aren't taking time out to do courses.

Yesterday I went into a veritable sh1tstorm at the client yesterday. I'm heading in later today but first I'm doing work that other clients need delivered. I slept badly last night worrying about stuff at the client. I'm concerned that I there are some people going out of their way to stitch me up. There are a few bar room lawyers there and it's not good. Apparently, two staff members are consulting TU side and the advice they are getting runs contrary to the law. I am not going to be intimidated by people who just want things to accommodate them as opposed to the business needs of the organisation.
I made a decision last night to unearth a paper diary and to use it to record various matters as they unfold. I hate being in that kind of situation but feel the need to protect myself.

Last night I made it home for around 8.45 having been on site since 10. I cannot sustain this. Today I am still in bed with a four legged friend lying alongside me. This evening we have tickets to see rag n bone man but these are standing and my back is sore. I'm not sure I can go.

    Today I am grateful for
    Pancakes for breakfast
    Time with the dog
    Increasing clarity

You are definitely right to take steps to protect yourself.

Have a good time if you decide to go later. Have a good rest if not xx
