The situation with your mum sounds stressful but I agree with SSG that you are handling it in the best way you can.
I also know how stressful SE work can be too.
I hope you feel less beleagured soon.

All of this (Except the SE bit!). Beleagured is a great word for it. How is your knee doing, are you getting enough exercise? I know time is tight but it makes everything seem a little better. Actually it reminds me of this, which a friend has shared with me before. It was written about people who felt suicidal, but I look at it as a very sensible self-care checklist whenever I have down days. (except for the therapist, which is not for me)

I hope things calm down for you a bit soon, and those big invoices get paid quickly.
With PA - I've been rejected a couple of times unfairly. I've messaged both times and have been credited in the end. It's worth a try if you disagree with why you've been rejected."If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney1 -

As Greying would say, visitors, how nice! Thanks for the post. I've had a look at the huff post link recommended by mfmaybe and it makes so much sense, I'm thinking of making it the wallpaper on my laptop. If anyone hasn't clicked through, I'd heartily recommend it.
Things have been frantic running between meetings and fitting bits and pieces in. DH has pitched in, good job we do the same type of work, and I'm starting to see things coming good. Funnily though, I had a client ask me to invoice them yesterday. That's the bit I forget to do when I'm under pressure. I'm also owed money from the irish tax system so need to submit a claim. That said, I've needed to claim for about 5 months and it'd be enough to cover my monthly salary for a few months.
Today I am going on site to cheap but prompt paying client possibly for the last time. I got 2 offers of very small jobs yesterday which was good. Am not sure I want to take on one of them but I'm not sure how to say no.
I also saw a job advert yesterday that is making me question SE. I'm thinking I'll give the application a go. The deadline is 2 weeks away. I only need to make a decision if I'm offered it.
Anyhow, today I am grateful for

Last night was cooler than recent nights and I slept through to 6.50. It was the first undisturbed night and makes such a difference. Today I am having bacon and mushroom sarnies for breakfast washed down by a mug of tea. I am then venturing to the Swedish store for laundry baskets. I have been using broken ones for so long and it's silly. Things fall out or snag where there are broken pieces. That store sells them for £2.50 each. I also need to get diesel so can get that while in that area. Plus I have a £20 cheque to go into my personal account and there's a nearby bank that opens on a Saturday morning. Later today I will visit the charity shop and the dump. I may not be dropping much off but every bit I offload clears a space in this over run house. Today I am not doing any client work bar responding to 2 emails. I may do admin but have decided that I need to create at least one work free day each weekMortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st 2lb determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes.
