  • I was a gibbering wreck but it's over and I'm still living. Friday was working in Limerick which then meant a 4 hour drive home. Saturday was a late start and 3 hrs at a client followed by tv catch ups and a takeaway for dinner. Today needs to be Sort out Sunday. Lots and lots to be done work, home and holiday wise. We go ridiculously early on fri morning and it's the first time that I've been out of contact with my business since set up. I'm worried. I've told clients well in advance but I'm not sure that it has registered with them all.
We got our rates bill last week. It's up by more than 5% and there's only a 3 week window available to benefit from a prompt payment discount. Still, we shall pay it to get the credit card points once the new billing month opens. We shall then cross our fingers and hope we can clear the credit card. It'd be more than 160 per month if we went the monthly payment route and that would be scary in terms of impact on monthly outgoings. I am fed up with belfast having highest rates in ni but those who pay them are charged the same amount as everyone else to use the facilities.

Our fri holiday will be our longest so far and will span two continents and various weather systems. I'm not sure how to pack. Tomorrow I'm meeting my friend for lunch in town so will collect a dress ordered from HoF, paid for by the returned item gift card, less than half price and ordered via tcb. It all helps. I will also visit primarni and invest in some flat wide fitting pumps that are my go to shoes.
Anyhow, best get today underway. Hope everyone's having a great bright weekend.

We had that in the States. Instead of Mr GG and I packing separately we had joint cases - one going from warm weather to mid-temps and one from mid-temps to cold. We travelled a fair bit. often with only one night in one place, and went from hot to cold then hot then colder so the cases stayed in the car and I just dipped in to the relevant case in the hotel car park and added some clothes to the overnight and toiletries case. Worked a treat, especially as everything was KM folded :T.

    Have a great time :)
