    Hope the presentation went well.

It's frustrating when you are close to a cashout on a slow survey site. I've got a couple I want to give up but want to cashout first, and it's taking forever!

  • Managed to cash out pa and have £1.25 towards the next one which is good. SB is now over 85% of the way to my target without too much effort. We don't talk about the other though I reckon I should cash out by Christmas!
Today we have white stuff on the ground, about an inch but it has been bitterly cold. Today we are all out of the house which means the pupster will be on her own all day. I think OH may work from home this pm to keep her company. I submitted a tender yesterday and used a print shop as they wanted hard copy. I also paid for binding for a professional appearance. That's me now one transaction from the target after which I'll be going back to using my points earning credit card and making a monthly transfer. On other money news, I chased up an invoice and tried to call the irish revenue commissioner but only got a recorded message as they had all shut up shop.
Remember a few months ago we had an appointment that the person didn't attend for then couldn't work with us to get a suitable time. We need to see her again and she's not returning calls. It's getting a bit critical.
Right, due to traffic probs, dd has just announced that she can't get to the job she's working on for me. Guess that's my cue to fire up the car.

Hi inod - just caught up with your diary. Wow you have been having an eventful time but I’m so very pleased that your DD’s results were positive.

Well done on all these transactions! :j. You’re such a grafter - puts me to shame.

    Safe journey today.

P.S how did the larger cake turn out?

  • So,larger cake remains unmade. That'll be a job for the weekend. Got dd safely to work and back but left her to walk the last 5 mins as it's a bad, narrow congested lane. I was a bit worried when I got her into this assignment. There's no lack of ability but she's in an environment in which she didn't want to work. I really shouldn't have worried as they've now asked for her for 3 days a week instead of the original 2. This gives me additional income too.
I got a tiny payment in as final settlement from a client today. I have hit the right number of transactions now so I should get the cashback next week on the anniversary of the account opening. It's hard to believe that I'm close to being self employed for a year. It still doesn't sit comfortably with me but it's getting there.
Tomorrow I have a conference call in the afternoon and a fair bit to get through in the morning. I also have a fair bit of prep for a series of interviews next week which are part of an investigation with what should be a foregone conclusion based on CCTV but which will probably go nowhere.
So, yesterday I close to emptied my offset fund to be able to carry a zero balance on my credit card after paying for our April holiday. It truly is scary but should gear me up to get and deliver some work.
    Today I am grateful for
    A snug house
The generosity of people towards others
    A safe reliable car
