Recipe to follow but haven’t a clue about using a different flour. Maybe greying pilgrim would be able to advise. So yesterday I got some work cleared, made lunch for me and breakfast for dd, caught up with a friend who also provided input to work and made toad in the hole with veggies for dinner. The deposit has been paid on the window, delivery of the bathroom stuff has been arranged for Monday and the builder has been told. So, how come?
I got showered, dressed properly (suitable to go outside albeit not full work attire) and went to my desk. I gave myself time appropriate breaks and just motored on. The lack of car meant that I didn’t just nip out or provide transport for dh’s work day. I think there’s a lesson for me so I’m shortly going to my desk but will stay in slippers as these are my most beloved items of footwear. They are little boots.
I watched Stacey and Joe last night and was grateful that we avoided what they are dealing with.

DIA, here we goIngredients:cook on a non stick crepe maker or griddle or even in a lightly buttered pan.
● 250g / 2 cups of seasoned mash –{ salt pepper and butter}
● 60g / half a cup of plain flour
Mix both of these ingredients together. Really work your potatoes into the mix. Flour the board and roll the
dough with a rolling pin. Cut into 4 farls. You can add scallions / chives or bacon pieces to the potato bread.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Well, that was pretty much a week derailed. On Wednesday we got news of a young relative’s serious illness. Thursday brought some additional not bad news about what’s being faced but the full situation isn’t fully known as yet. So, all those good intentions went out the window in a flash. Car remains off the road and, as of last night, our roof is leaking into the newly installed insulation and thence the bedroom in a completely inaccessible spot so nothing can be put into catch it.We still have heard nothing back from the relevant government body about the street tree whose roots are wrecking our path and drive so a lot of yesterday was spent transfixed on the branches that now overhang our two story house. It’s a big tree.
last night we went to see the shawshank redemption play. It was excellent. My initial thought was to just stay at home but it was pointed out that if the tree did cause damage, I would be elsewhere. I’m glad we managed a night out. Today there are lots of things to do but I need to start with a list. One must do is to make use of fresh cream in the fridge so scones will probably be made. We are also low on bread so I may make use of some buttermilk to make some soda farls as these go well with beans, cheese, egg of sausages all of which we have.
today I am grateful for
