dd being here last week.  The disruption she brings was a welcome distraction this time
I like this. Glad to read the dog went peacefully at least

One of those weeks :(. I'm sorry you've had those things to deal with, and I hope the mechanical things are soon solved. Good to hear you are continuing to win against Mr Wii. Is your DD still at home?

Have you tried cleaning the filter? I found a cotton makeup remover pad in mine, and after that was taken out, the machine worked fine.
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?
  • Satchmo, we’ve considered the filter but no luck, thank you.
Yesterday was an incredibly lazy day with little done but no takeaways as we ate from what we had.  Sent a few work related emails to gear up for this week and am awaiting replies.  Had a brief conversation with ds while dd arrived back this morning from a weekend away.  I have also been researching washer driers and completely fail to see the need for these to be Wi-Fi enabled. I’m happy to use technology as appropriate but most homes using Wi-Fi have a single point of failure, why potentially increase the impact of an outage.

Right, need to fire up my laptop well in advance of popmaster.  Today I am grateful for

Wi-fi for a washer dryer. The mind boggles TBH.

I don't see the point in smart appliances either

Nor me, just seems like more to go wrong. Mind you, I remember the days when you had to go over to the TV to press a button to change channels 🤣🤣

I remember when we had to replace our (now rather ancient) washer/dryer and I came across smart appliances for the first time. We settled for good ol' fashioned turn a dial and press a button technology, but I was rather taken aback to realise my children could potentially control the appliances remotely and I would have no say in it! :D
