    That's a lot to cope with in one week. It's lovely that you've been able to treat your young relative to something, so they can have that to think about later.

    I hope your DH is recovering uneventfully. Rubbish about your phone though: can it be replaced under the manufacturer's guarantee?

    P.S. The wandering 2 lbs are just trying it on. Tell them firmly they have left home now and can't keep running back to you when they can cope perfectly well, independently of you.
