Yesterday we did the cash and carry run. We got what was intended plus more. They had good reductions on various chocolates so these have been bought and put away primarily for when I’m delivering training courses. My course content ain’t great but I bribe people with chocolate!
we also cleared 6 large boxes to the recycling, various soft plastics plus more than 30 items to the charity shop. I now have to find where my charity shop pile was hidden when dd had a friend to stay as those items weren’t in the bag.I did an hour or so last night and got work set up for the week. Speaking of which, I’ve an early meeting 12 miles away so need to be out the door.

Anniveraries of losing loved ones are always potentially difficult times. I have 2 sticky periods - mid Feb to mid March (mum's birthday & dad's anniversary in 1991) and late July to early August (mum's anniversary in 2005 and dad's birthday). I have found that being extra kind to myself & not planning too much are my best tactics.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

The weird thing is Floss that I genuinely didn’t expect to be impacted. Still, we are where we are.One more meeting out of the way yesterday.it was a long one that ran for over two hours but was very positive. Checked my emails after and had enquiries about two other projects while a third came in by phone yesterday afternoon that would like an immediate start. I’ve arranged to speak to them tomorrow.Today will be two or three meetings depending on how things play out. Got the coat plus three chocolate bars posted off yesterday. The cost of posting was within a pound of the cost of the coat. Ridiculous.Right, need to get motoring as today is dh’s in the office day and then I need to get to my first client. Today I am grateful for

Yesterday turned into four meetings instead of three, one of which involved consumption of a rather delightful Christmas dinner. That said, I got home from the final one at after eleven so I’m tired. Today I have my talk therapy apart from which there is nothing in the diary. I do have lots of work to get through. In a way, that’s good as I don’t want to wallow given it’s the actual anniversary. It’s hard not to think about what was happening this time last year in terms of family interactions.
right, need to finish up my indulgent hot chocolate and get things started.
today I am grateful for
