Cherry, they can give an anti emetic but that still leaves the nausea so I’ll stick with how things are. Im giving it a further month to settle down then go back to consultant if there’s no improvement.Yesterday I bit the bullet and withdrew my offset fund and lodged it to the current account to be transferred to the mortgage when cleared. I had a very pleasant surprise as I was able to withdraw £6600 when I thought there was just over £5600 in the account. A few months ago I was given an unexpected £1000 that I put straight into the account to stop me spending. That was such a bonus yesterday. However I’m now looking at what’s owed and telling myself that less than an additional £2000 would get me into the 20s close to owning 90% of the house. I have never had a mortgage in the 20s despite having a mortgage for 32 years. I’m not sure ebay will do it but even with just scheduled payments, I’ll definitely be there by year end. The problem is that I want it now! I’m owed some expenses from the business so will earmark those as overpayments. I may even clean out the backs of sofas! On other news, yesterday was a rough day. Left the client early which I felt bad about as they are short staffed. I contacted my gp surgery about the prescription that I need. There was no letter from the consultant, there may be a record on my electronic care record but only the gp can access so I need to call at 9 and request a call back. The problem is that they won’t give an indicative time and I have other commitments. Seriously!Right, need to get a wiggle on. Not least because I managed to leave my phone at the client so need to be reunited sooner rather than later.

That's amazing about the extra money, and must be very motivating! A good thing in a not-so-good day.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Great news about the extra money. Use that desire to get into the 20s to motivate you if you have stuff you want to ebay etc. Every little you can find will get you there sooner.
Frustrating about the GP though."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee5 -

so, let's start with the good news. I worked out the expenses and transferred these from the business account to the current account. strictly speaking, they should go towards things like diesel costs but i reckon that we have coped with paying these so diverted the expenses to a mortgage OP. I then added the rounding figure of £257.58 that we've committed to OP each month (to bring the payment to 2%) along with the withdrawal from the offset fund. This leaves me owing the amount in my signature! that is, until my scheduled monthly payment goes out on Tuesday at which point my mortgage, for the first time ever, will be in the 20s! while doing this, I realised that the NI cut had given dh an increase of £30.02 so i snaffled that as an OP and told him that'll be an extra monthly payment going forward. i have to say that i am beyond underwhelmed with his response to any of it. maybe it's because he has never had to worry about paying a mortgage. when i split from my ex, i had to get a 5+x salary multiplier mortgage and then had to frequently live on credit cards just to retain the children's family home that they wanted to remain in.When my last employment was causing me issues, i was always mindful that i was the higher income earner and couldn't really rock the applecart until our mortgage was a level that could be secured on his income. then my self employment caused anxiety while i waited to gain some clients. whereas by the time he moved in and was added to the mortgage, there was 40% equity in the house. I just feel a bit flat by his reaction.now for the bad news, the icky feeling developed into a full blown tummy upset on wed evening and this is the first day that it hasn't impacted. i still had to go in on friday as other staff members were hit by a similar lurgy. i also had to get the chef in for extra hours as he was fine and i needed to keep anyone, even mildly unwell, clear of the kitchen area.the plus side is that my weekly conversation with mr wii showed a 4lb weight loss. i expect to regain some next week but just hope that it doesn't all go back on. the other good news is that 3 of the 7 ebay items have bids so there'll be a few more pennies heading towards the mortgage. That should mean that, at a minimum, more than 30% will be cleared by year end. I know that's not sustainable but if it were, less than 2 years would clear it completely.right, need to go do some work and earn some pennies that will unfortunately be down due to me being ill this week.today i am grateful fora steadying tummyweightlossmortgage OPs and a community who appreciate what this means - thank you allMortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. It’s so maddening when they are underwhelmed by our achievements. Well done on the mortgage 👏👏👏
Pleased you’re feeling better now.January spends - £587.584 -
Looking at your signature, you have made amazing progress!!! Fabulous job.
My DH had lots of doubts about my mortgage overpayments but I made the last one just before lockdown when, coincidentally, DH became out of work for the first time in decades. He never appreciated why the process was a big deal to me, but when we had about a third of our income and still had more than we needed to live on, I think it made sense to him. I'm not saying your husband will be the same, just that I appreciate it must be frustrating when you see how well you are doing and what a massive chunk you've put behind you.
Hope you feel better this week to come.
