You've made tons of progress! I know chipping away gets tedious sometimes but all of a sudden you will find yourself on the home strait and that's exciting (and of course happens all the sooner because of the chipping away).
The course sounds fascinating. I hope you find it useful.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Still doesn’t feel like I’m on the home straight but I think that may be because I have a complete lack of clarity as to where I’m heading. We have finally managed to source a gardening service. I’m fed up paying to live in a house with a reasonably sized garden that I can’t enjoy as it’s always a mess. Added to which, I have a husband who will cut the grass when prompted but who can’t recognise when it’s too long. I don’t want to be a nag. Anyhow we agreed that we would try covering costs from additional monies e.g. tcb, swag bucks, gifts,etc. All sounds good until dh set the payment to come out of our general account. When I asked how this was going to be tracked and if money would be transferred from the garden pot in his account, I was given a completely non committal response. I know it’s not about him wanting to hold the money but I just find it so frustrating.Anyhow, rant over for now as I need to get motoring. Today I am grateful for

I am so annoyed. Those who get paid lots for very little have revisited c19 restrictions in ni. They have not lifted the general 10 day quarantine for travel into ni from the rest of the uk. So I can go to England to see my offspring and not quarantine. I can then return home and not quarantine as I’m returning home but if my children come here from England, there has to be a 10 day house arrest. Given that both have continuously been delivering front line services, wfh isn’t an option so they’d each have to take a minimum 7 days leave just to get one out and about day. Plus dd has had both jabs and gets regular work place testing. I’m so annoyed.
also yesterday I had a meeting scheduled for 5, confirmed the day before and the person forgot. 3 of us were sitting making small talk while he failed to answer his phone until close to an hour had passed.Still I made it home for the online session at 7. Didn’t get much from it but that was probably down to my mind set.Right, need to crack on as I’m picking up the chef and need to drop some stuff at my sister’s gate in advance. Today I am grateful for

A complete lack of joined-up thinking.
And maddening to have your time wasted over the meeting.

A belated welcome from me inod - good to see you posting again. 😀
Your Covid restrictions sound a mess! How frustrating for you and your family.Annoying about the meeting too. 😡
But good to hear the news of your car and that you've decided to get a gardener. It'll be worth it to sit out there and relax without worrying about how much to do.So pleased to read that the furry one is well too!🐶Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Hello lovely visitors where did the weekend go? I was called in for three hours on Saturday - this resulted in a take home bag for furry face which is good as she is increasingly selective in her old age. This means that we can lace the donated burgers with her meds to minimise pain.On Sunday I got all my ironing done which gives me clothing options that are always good as the weather seems to change from one day to the next. In advance of the garden service starting today, I finally nailed dh to talking about how it is being funded. We are more than halfway to covering costs to end of December with extra or unspent funds. This includes savings on the cleaning service since the start of the year, 2 x £25 from premium bonds, cash gifts from Christmas, birthday along with tcb, sb and pa cash outs. I work better when I can see progress towards a target.
yesterday I did my weekly weigh in and am down 1 lb. if I lose another, I will get back into overweight category. I know bmi has been discredited by some as a meaningful measure however it works as a motivator for me. That said, I think normal is beyond me.Yesterday also finished my 5 day on line course type thing. It lost resonance for me after day 3 but if nothing else, demonstrated that I can establish time boundaries and need to get on and do.Right I need to crack on as I’m taxi ing again today.
today I am grateful for
return of call the midwife
