So lovely to hear from you inod. I think it's been a very odd time and I know I've found it hard to be positive as well as to stick to things I thought had become established habits.Welcome back to posting and I will look forward to reading your diary again.9

Lovely to have you back! I'm glad your family has been relatively untouched by Covid, and the furry face is still doing well.
I won't ask about the job just yet - just to say I hope it's behaving itself and you are getting time for yourself,

Thank you all for such a warm welcome. I’m going to try and post everyday to avoid drift. That said, I’ll take 5 times a week as a win. I’m also incrementally updating my signature with weight and mortgage being declared so far. One isn’t at all good while the other is just dropping a bit at a time.I’m still up to my neck with the nightmare client and will be heading there shortly. It continues to be a nightmare but also continues to pay my bills which is a great relief when the world is as it has been for the past year.
I have picked up some other bits and pieces of work but am still rubbish at invoicing. I recently managed to get an invoice issued but then had the client contact as it’d left off the bank account number.
I have been looking at my mortgage balance and thinking that when it naturally hits below £50k, I’d like to be mortgage neutral with the option to clear. Might need a bit more thought on that goal.
right, need to get going. Today car washes are allowed to reopen in NI. I may give the car a treat if there’s no queue on my way in.

Lovely to see you posting again INOD, and great that the furry one is still tail wagging... long may it continue. Hope the rest of the family are doing and keeping well. (((hugs)))
I Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.

but by getting rid of the things that make you unhappy5 -
Monday I got the car washed but wasn’t comfortable enough to get the inside done. Also I hate the standing about bit while other people unearth your rubbish. If I could learn to reverse, I’d be able to Hoover out the driver side when I park in front of the garage that I won’t even try to park the car in.Yesterday we finally did some number crunching. The 4 year lease on our car ends next week. We were uncertain what to do especially as the third party who had arranged the lease shut up shop last year. The decision came down to another lease or a second hand car. Our lease company agreed to sell us our current car and we were ok about the price especially as it has had minimal miles in the past year. In addition, it’s really hard to get what we have in a second hand car. Last night, we found ourselves in what appeared to be a ridiculous situation which was discussing what pot to raid to buy a car. (None of the pots were my tax pot) Seriously, like I said to dh, 4 years ago we’d have been wondering if we could afford the credit it buy a car.It can be so easy to lose sight of the wins. Essentially my nightmare client has funded our car purchase which will significantly reduce our monthly outgoings though we do need to set up a repairs pot.
Tonight I start a five day on line course / event for 1 hour a night. It’s with an author whose books I’ve read and whose 2 day seminar I attended about 10 years ago. It’s about unraveling the impact of your relationships with your parents. For me it’s also about setting aside the 5 hours when I’m not at the end of a phone. Also, it was free which is always a plus. Must remember to let dh know.
