Hairy, in this instance, it’s not fear of change as reduction in control from those who have x years experience of always doing it this way. Yesterday was a tough day and I’m struggling. Tomorrow will be another tough day and today I just need to get stuff done. I just need to face things and move forward.

Well, it was after ten on Thursday and then an earliesh start on fri. Got home around half six and crashed. DH made dinner from supplies. On the plus side, we got the work at more than four times my most regular charge out rate. It’ll be a lot of pressure for the next few weeks but with a good pre Christmas reward.
I was also contacted by a client who owes me money asking if I can resend the work and the invoice as it has been mislaid so that looks like money en route. I have therefore decided to take advantage of a points weekend and refill my perfume bottles. I have held off and have been using up other bits and pieces but I miss my go to perfume.
Today I have to go to makro and get toilet roll. This run should hopefully take us to past Christmas. Ditto the dog food. I need to take advantage of some sparks offers expiring tomorrow one of which will get me a free tin of soup. I also want to see if I can pick up jeans with 20% off in sainsbugs and all of these places are around the one area. The big question is does dh want to come with me?
I’m also hoping this will dampen my urge to spend. I’m currently fighting not to log onto favourite shopping sites and make free use of my credit card. That’s one of the reasons I’m posting right now. I’m trying to make myself accountable. Anyhow, need to crack on.

I spent money but stayed away from the shopping sites. I did up a list of various things that were needed and then shopped specifically for those. This included my perfume refill and a pair of jeans that were returned yesterday. I did throw a £22 jacket into my shopping trolley that was definitely a want rather than a need.
Yesterday I did a six hour shift and a subsequent meeting that last an hour and a half that I got home from at 10.30. The only spends were on needed dog food with which there was a free ball that the furry one extracted from my hand bag.
This will be a tough week as there’s lots to do and we are off to Leeds next Sunday for 2 nights. Also, dd gets home late on Friday for 2 nights to see the four legged fiend. I’m not sure when I will next manage a day at home.

Busy day yesterday doing bits and pieces. Issued two invoices last night to help keep the wolf from the door but realised how reliant I am on just two clients. The furry one has gone to ex husband already this morning as we are both working on new hopefully profitable client tomorrow but are doing the 3 hour drive after work this evening as 6 hours in one day with a full day’s work is too much.
My eating habits have gone to hell in a handcart but bs diet restarts next week after Leeds.
Right need to get packed and into that client! We heard on Friday that we have been allocated 92% of the grant applied for which I’m happy about as I built in and declared 10% for contingency.
