  • Not really sure where yesterday went. I know I did very little around the house but I did clear one work thing totally and kicked off another. I visited my brother in law and spent a few hours there, the laundry is cleared up bar a duvet which I need to take to be cleaned. We have a meal plan for the start of the week which is good. Apart from that, I’m not too sure how things stand.
I did spend money yesterday. I left it as late as possible hoping it’ll fall in my next cc statement as today is the statement date. I bought a pair of trainers that were half price with a further 25% off. They are a replica of ones that I had previously that worked for me. At £45 they were still pricey but will hopefully be worth it. I was tempted to buy another item to reach the free delivery threshold but stopped myself. It was better to spend £4 on delivery than £18 on something I do not need.

Today I am dithering as to if I go into that client as it is a bank holiday here and dh is off work. I do have things to get underway there but have other work stuff to get done too. However I may not get anything done if I just spend the day with dh. I’m really not good with decisions.

Your grateful list sounds good today. Don’t forget to factor time off for yourself - I’d be tempted enjoy a least some of the bank holiday and go renewed to your other commitments after a bit of me time.

Lots of positives today. I hope you’ve managed sometime time off – it is essential to just relax and have time together.

  • You don't seem to take much time off INOD so maybe a day to relax with DH would do you a world of good?

  • I went in for 4 hours. I got something underway which is good. When I got home, I planted up 5 little plug plants that had arrived and cleared a bucket of weeds to the brown bin. While I was out, dh worked on two work things for me. We had what I call a proper dinner last night. Potatoes, meat and 4 veg followed by ice cream. My bs was high this morning so that needs to be addressed. Dinner was in expectation of the builder’s return today which may leave the kitchen out of action again.

DH unearthed one item for the dump so that’ll go today on our way to work. On other news, a potential work opportunity turned out to be a non runner but at least I saw that before it went anywhere.

    Today I am grateful for
    A call from dd

    A proper dinner
