Got the necessary items for my mum and called after work. She was in fairly good form but while I was there, one of my sisters called over. I’m not sure why. It’s like she needs to see all that’s going on rather than for any other reason. I was annoyed as she was one of the two who would always have taken my mum out for dinner on her birthday but made no effort for last night’s dinner. By the time I had gotten there, she had already eaten her meals on wheels ready meal.
Today I am giving myself the morning off and am going to see my friend and her new baby. Her husband is a teacher so will be at home from next week so going today means we will have a chance to chat.
I got feedback from a client yesterday that I was more than pleased about. There is some progress being made with the problem client and another challenge raised its head. I’ve decided all the staff need a rocket and are going to get it from me. I’ve had enough of people suiting themselves. They are there to support the client group not just to get a salary.
On other news, the furry one comes back this evening, a day earlier than expected. I can’t wait even though she will have to be kept contained but we can do that. It’s only until Saturday when she’s heading off to the beach for her summer holidays. This is for us to go to London next weekend and also because it means she will stay with a friend who is at home during the day as I hate her being cooped up indoors during the summer. She will be at the beach most days which she loves. It’s like a child heading to summer camp.

Yesterday i had a lovely morning and a good catch up with my friend and her new baby. I then went to the client where I laid down the law about some stuff. Today I will be tackling a staff member whose behaviour is becoming more of a direct challenge to me. I am not prepared to tolerate it anymore. I don’t mind when I’m in the wrong but this is just to undermine me in front of others. Enough is enough. If I have overall operational responsibility, I’m going to start discharging it.
Today dh is working from home to keep the furry one out of the workmen’s way. It was so good to have her back last night. We had to let her sleep upstairs last night and she was as good as gold. We will do the same tonight and then she’ll be away tomorrow. Right I want to get the working day underway sooner rather than later.
Today I am grateful for

I wimped it and got caught up in other stuff at the client. I ended up staying on to cover a shift where someone called in. Got home around 8 and was tired. The dog was a bit restless last night so we are tired. Hopefully by the time she gets back, we will have a functioning kitchen. I am so fed up with it. I am also fed up with no food prep or cooking facilities. I want my house back.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. I want to have a clear plan and be able to see progress or where I’m going wrong. I just seem to be lurching from one thing to another and it’s getting me down. I need focus and to stop being both bored and boring. Today I am going to start by sitting in the bath and contemplate the world. Then I am going to give my sore neglected feet some overdue attention after which I should be better able to face the world. Our weather is due to break tomorrow so a wash needs to go in so we have some chance of getting it dried.
Today I am grateful for
