  • Two early work starts in a row. Yesterday was to get something out the door while today’s is to do a pick up for one client to get to another by half nine. I will need completely amazing traffic luck but might just pull it off.

Yesterday I plucked up courage and made a work call. It was fairly positive. I need to stop being such a wimp. This evening I am engaging my niece to wrap as close to 40 terrys chocolate oranges bought for 75p some months ago.

We had written our cards on Tuesday evening to use second class post. However I was unable to find the specific ones bought for the parental. While rummaging yesterday, I took the opportunity to extract dh’s gifts from various locations and get them wrapped. Tonight I’m hoping to get the dc stuff all gathered up and listed as I need to see if a balancing payment is due to either one.

    Today I am grateful for

Oranges are wrapped and money was given though wee niece tried to decline it. She was good and quick and I was able to drop her home then nip to 24 hour supermarket for Christmas labels for said oranges.
A massive work crisis hit a client yesterday but it is their crisis. I have done what I can so need to step back.

I am so tired. I am also not so stressed about Christmas but think that could be that I’ve forgotten lots that will need done. I realised yesterday that I haven’t sorted out a turkey yet. I do however, thanks to lovely bonus offers, have over £70 of nectar points to spend so sainsbugs may benefit from my custom. They may be slightly dearer but if it has no money cost to me, it’s worth doing. I also have £15 of m&s vouchers courtesy of sb and I’m dithering about how I cash out £co and tcb as there’s about £30 between those.

As of last month, dh’s salary goes into our joint account. However there’s still no engagement re the application of funds.
A client paid me yesterday so I now only have one outstanding invoice and that was only issued on Sunday. I need to get invoices issued along with two quotes requested by prospective clients. One would be a recurring fee which would be good.
I see there are weather warnings for across the uk. DC are coming home via car and boat which will mean a drive right across from the east coast to west. I won’t be content until they reach Dublin on Saturday. Today I am grateful for

  • You may benefit from a YS turkey in either Mr S or MnS. Keep your eyes peeled.

  • I really wish I could be more bothered about the lack of turkey. If needs be, we have an m&s chicken in the freezer. Provided it comes with all the trimmings I’m not convinced that the difference would be noticed! Though the chicken may taste better!
DH has his Christmas festivities at work today. I am doing no more than an hour at that client. Two quotes are going out the door and that is me. Oh, apart from hopefully picking up and lodging a cheque. For this, I can make an exception.
Just like the rest of the world, I am tired! First thing to do is to make a list, possibly check it twice and then start motoring. The plan is to get dh to work, to park up and nip to the market for some provisions then return home, issue emails and then go to the client for that hour.
I need to get some baking underway at some point and I also need to make arrangements to drop stuff off with a friend but that can be done tomorrow.

    Today I am grateful for
