Sad news indeed. Try to let it go so you have a chance to revive.

Have been back nearly two weeks and it's as manic as ever. There was another death last Monday related to the mare client. It was natural causes following years of abuse. He was 35 but looked in late 40s with no known next of kin. His mother was eventually traced. Then on Sunday a local resident set himself on fire beside the client so we were involved in that. It was horrific. On the plus side, it gave me further opportunity to push for an employee assistance programme at last night's management committee. I'm now allowed to go and price this. Yay!
On holiday news, we got through the family wedding in one piece which was good and the bride enjoyed her day which was even better. We spent money but not as much as I feared and at the weekend I cashed in unspent currency and got £70 cash back to fund cash spends between now and month end. I made an op to the mortgage that I probably can't afford but it brought it into a different 100.
The dog is back in residence and is living like a princess. It'll be such a wrench when she leaves again. She is looking well.
Work matters. I didn't win the tender I was after but have picked up a new client for three stand alone pieces. I also chased an invoice that is being paid today. I need to get some more issued. I also have a referral from another client to pursue which is good. Also, I asked that client for an uplift in my hourly rate to reflect the additional responsibilities that I have been undertaking. I will find out the outcome today.

I'm sure that lots more has been happening but my scrambled egg brain can't remember it all. Today I am grateful for
